  • No, I must advise everyone to AVOID such videos.

In the late eighties, when I was in middle school (public school), my whole science class watched "Chariots of the gods".

At the time, I was pretty ignorant of many things -- there were many holes in my knowledge about the Catholic faith. And being a public school-taught kid, I was grossly ignorant of things like history, scripture, etc.

I just remember the movie affected me. I had to cling for dear life to my mom's staunch belief in the Catholic Faith, to not lose my own. I'm glad I lived in a very Catholic household, or I might have lost it. The movie seemed quite convincing.

Then again, my faith was assailed all the time, so I was kind of used to "crap" being said against the Catholic Faith I held to be true.

Anyhow, I think Uriel is in a MUCH worse position right now that any 13 year old kid from a traditional Catholic family.

And I would advise against taking any religious advice from him -- whose own faith is practically six feet under. May he convert from his errors and be saved. But if he insists on reading the tracts (in the modern day: videos) of heretics, scoffers, and unbelievers, he shows a certain disdain for what is left of his faith -- as well as The Faith itself.

These 3 short videos tell about the forces of evil, controling earth, preparing mankind to fight God's armies when returning to earth.

The videos go to show that angles and demons are not some sort of winged spirits playing harps and walking around in roman garbs but as being different life forms.

Take the videos for what there worth. Nothing in them counters trad. Catholic dogma. Unless you still think God and His armies float around in the clouds while wearing Roman robes and in the background harps continue to play. Or that the devil sits on his throw with a BIG pitchfork in the center of the earth!

    Hey, listen.

If you knew so much about Catholic Dogma, then you would know that angels are not guys in Roman clothes playing harps on clouds.

Satan is not some guy in a red suit with a pitchfork.

All of that nonsense is a paganization of Christianity.

1f you anything about history, you would know that in the early centuries people would use Roman and Greek pagan imagery to describe Christianity (unfortunately), causing some people to think that that is what the Church really teaches.

I was an "new ager" once upon a time, and I honestly did believe in all the alien crap.

Truth be told, if you go down that path, you're not gonna meet any aliens. . .

But, you're a free moral agent, so if you want to be quacky :ape: , nobody can stop you.

And trust me. . . This  :light-saber:  is only in the movies.

Are you in the Michael Dimond cult? Party of 2 please!! Don't worry about the bill - they got tons of money from the guys they scammed!!! Party time at Most Holy Family 'monastery'  :bob-marley: :dancing-banana: :sign-party-time:

Or perhaps you're a baysider? Veronica Leukin's 'mary' said ufo's are demons that need vehicles to fly through the air to abduct people and that she did not have time to explain to the world why this is because scientists would not understand. How convenient.  :dancing:

Stop calling it all 'new ager stuff'. Aliens and UFOs and been reported since the dawn of man. Even the Vatican has  acknowledged the possiblity of intelligent, alien, life. I am sure they and other agencies know a lot more then what they are willing to tell us.

You like to use the word new ager to discredit all those that bring an opposing view point. Like the Jєωs like to toss around the words αnтι-ѕємιтє to those they wish to silence.

Most Catholics seem to have a negative disposition with God/Jesus/angels/demons...being an alien life form. But they have no problem these appearing as anyhying else their imagination can muster up with just as long these images are consciously and unconsciously pleasing/comforting.

I did not ever imagine this forum had so many stoner potheads.   :smash-pc:

You inadvertently give evidence against your "position".

You're right -- most Catholics, the ones that still are Catholic, have a sensus Catholicus or a Catholic sense/instinct, which comes in handy sometimes. If the majority of people get the willies when thinking/talking about aliens, it's probably because they are devils.

God, the Blessed Mother, and the Saints don't make you afraid to sleep in the dark, afraid to go outside at night, or cause feelings of fear or terror. If you experience those things, YOU CAN CROSS OFF THE RESIDENTS OF HEAVEN from your suspect list.

I used to watch movies, including Sci-fi and I used to be interested in space exploration, space travel, possibility of alien life, and other curiosities (x-files). I remember being scared at the thought of encountering a UFO. Aliens are scary to most of us. Just google "alien" and look at any and all available descriptions/pictures of them. They look grotesque and ugly -- like devils.

Angels don't cause fear -- at least the good angels don't.

That was stupid. We don't need to see photographs of scantily clad fat women scarfing down pie.

Indeed. Some people get aroused by such things. What an occasion of sin. Uriel - take your new age pornography elsewhere!  :drillsergeant:

    Ok...Matt

Here is another picture that googled up when I searched with keys words(ugly & scary) Now, is she also allied with evil?

According to you she must be evil because her looks freak me out and cause endless nightmares! Now, if you took the time to go out and meet and talk with her you might find out she is not that bad of a person.  :chef:It was all a matter of misunderstanding...lack on information/knowledge.

Uriel, if you want to post self-portraits, please start a new thread. This is not a love-connection website, and to the best of my knowledge, Chuck Woolery is not a member here.

The reasons Catholics have a negative disposition with them being what you suggest is that it contradicts Catholic teaching.  Angels and demons are spiritual beings, men in flying saucers are not.

If UFOs and aliens exist, that doesn't necessarily contradict Dogma because the Bible et al. are about the human relationship with God, the human fall, and the human redemption.

If there are Vulcans out there, they may never have fallen.  Or they may not be created in God's image and occupy the same place as Man.  Or whatever.  We don't know.  Personally, I don't believe in UFOs as aliens.  I think they're either human delusions or demonic deceptions.

Be that as it may you're confusing things when you say "as long these images are consciously and unconsciously pleasing/comforting."

That is the whole point of the imagery and symbolism.  While an Angel or Demon can appear as human, that is not their true form which is spiritual.  So, in imagery, they are portrayed in such a way as to give an indication of what they are - good or evil.

If you want to draw one alien and use it as a depiction of an angel and another as a depiction as a demon, then fair enough except the fact that you will be making the same mistake you accuse others of - confusing people into thinking that's what angels and demons look like.

If you find her repulsive, then I think the appropriate thing is to remember that humans are fallen and sometimes our fallen nature manifests itself in our looks, our physical deficiencies, etc., and that is not indicative of the individual but the fallen human species as a whole.  In that sense, "ugliness" does accurately depict evil.

The fact that some of the most beautiful are the most evil is already known - sometimes demons appear as angels of light, and Lucifer was said to be the most beautiful of angels.  But he changed after the Fall and their beautiful appearance is a lie - it doesn't indicate the true nature of their being as when we see them as they really are in the eyes of God.

Really, it's somewhat unkind to take pictures off the internet and hold them up as examples of "ugly and scary"....
