I have never heard of a Cardinal outside of the Novus Ordo. I dont' understand who this Rutherord Johnson guy is.
If it is a Novus Ordo Cardinal, then no, he would not support this priest as a sedevacantist/CMRI (or Resistance for that matter) priest. If it is a Novus Ordo "cardinal" (ie. "bishop"), I suspect that the poor priest has returned to the Novus Ordo sect's vomit.
"Cardinal" Ruthford is an international explorer, humanitarian, author, economics expert, and everything else, you name , he did it. If you though "Bishop" Moran was special, well take a look at this:
From his website:
H.I.R.H. Count Don Rutherford Cardinal Johnson, Count of Sainte Animie serves as Anglo-Italian Imperial Patriarch, Anglican Rite Roman Catholic Church. As successor to Pope Leo X, he is the senior ecclesiastical dynast of the Patriarchal States, the titular patrimony of the See of St. Stephen comprising the historic regions of Etruria (Tuscany), Trier, Mainz, and Würzburg in the ancient Holy Roman Empire, and is heir to the Burgundian House of Arles and the Spanish Houses of Ivrea and Barcelona in Imperial Italy. The church he shepherds is a non-parochial Imperial Old Roman Catholic personal patriarchate with Anglican patrimony focused on its mandate of mission, service, and charity.
For decades, Count Don Rutherford Cardinal Johnson has been a leader in humanitarian and charitable work on local, national, and global levels.
As Imperial Patriarch of St. Stephen, he is primarily active in the Patriarchate's humanitarian wing, the Walsingham Guard, and through Global Ecclesial Charities. He also supports the Imperial Patriarchate's outreach ministry to Scouting. The Cardinal also has supported a wide variety of charitable endeavors, including children's healthcare, food banks, orphanages, shelters for battered women, the needs of veterans, cultural education, sports and athletics, children's literacy, and the arts in order to transform the lives of as many people around the world as possible for the better.
Don Rutherford provides leadership and guidance, enabling the ministry and humanitarian work of others. He has a unique ability to identify and bring together people of diverse talents to meet charitable needs. He also believes in leading from the front and takes a hands-on approach towards service to others.
The Cardinal has sailed on the Atlantic and Pacific coasts and inland lakes of the United States. To help inspire a passion for sailing in others, he developed a sailing training program and taught sailing programmes in the Boy Scouts of America for several years and was a certified BSA lifeguard.
In addition, the Cardinal has been active in research on diverse topics in the equine industry ranging from the economics of valuation of horses and facilities to the history of Lipizzaner horses. His efforts have helped to promote equestrian sports, recreational riding, and preservation of equestrian history.
In support of the humanitarian and charitable mission of the Holy Church, Count Don Rutherford Cardinal Johnson regularly attends and hosts a diverse array of events around the world to support worthy causes, raise awareness to problems, and promote solutions. Events include dinners, balls, meetings, and gatherings in Italy, the United States and Asia to promote education, the arts, health, cultural preservation, and peace and to raise money for the help of those in need. The Cardinal also hosts and participates in events in support of veterans and military history.
