Freud is often falsely accused of instructing his patients to give free reign to their unconscious impulses. While it is true he felt that an excessive inhibitory attitude towards the sɛҳuąƖ instinct was undesirable, it is oft forgot that he held this view because such a repressive attitude only served to enhance the subjective value of sɛҳuąƖ drives. As a matter of fact, he tells us that love in the wider sense suffers when there are but few barriers in the way of sɛҳuąƖ gratification.

Plus it should be common sense we view these movements in humanism as a danger. If there are commonalities  :barf:  (I really doubt!) they are only superficial ones. We are not starting from the same place and his goal is to destroy Christian thought.

I can't get past the perversion that any Christian or just non pervert would view him in a good light.

Freud and his followers are totally committed to the destruction of
Christian Civilization and the promotion of immoral and hedonistic
perversions that they want to brand socially accepted values.
I should know, I studied Freud in my college classes and it took me
decades to recover.
