Update: I heard from Fr. Tim Pfeiffer early this morning, Tues. 11/12 in USA. He is okay as he was on the western side of the island. There is martial law in effect so he cannot go anywhere. There are dead bodies all over, floating, buried under downed trees, under rubble, etc. He doesn't know about many of his parishioners, whether dead or alive. The chapel in Tacloban is gone and many presumed dead. He is trying to get a military escort to go there today or tomorrow. Conditions are dire.
Fr. Chazal's people in Cebu are flooded but okay. He has yet to hear from others. Those who wish to help Fr. Chazal's parishioners specifically may do so through cor-mariae., Asian website, or may send donations to Fr. Joe Pfeiffer in KY. Fr. Joe Pfeiffer will be going to India and the Philippines in two weeks. Use the in this sign you shall conquer website to make donations, or mail them directly to OL Mt. Carmel Priory in Kentucky.
God's Judgement has fallen upon the Philippines. Are we ready? We deserve worse as a nation.
