    • He had his chance. I didn't pre-judge him by what he posted elsewhere -- I based my decision to exclude him from CathInfo on the posts he posted on THIS forum.

    He posted 100% of his posts in the "SSPX Resistance" subforum, even though he fundamentally disagrees with both the Resistance AND the SSPX itself. As a Novus Ordo Catholic (or Indult at best), he simply doesn't have a dog in this fight.

    He doesn't just have a problem with Bishop Williamson, Fr. Pfeiffer, or the other Resistance priests. He has a problem with Archbishop Lefebvre.

    Anyone who feels that way about Archbishop Lefebvre is always going to be a misfit at best on this forum.

    And I won't have him slinging mud at Bishop Williamson.

    I thought that 'Tradical' provided a textbook case for banning.  Especially after, in effect, he arrogantly promised to continue to make meddlesome postings in that forum unless banned.  Accomodating that, um, challenge was definitely the right decision.

    Writing from the perspective of a nonSSPX independent-chapel traditional Catholic who is appalled by Bp. Fellay's accord, thus sympathetic to its Resistance, I  have tried to make a point of staying mostly out of the one subforum on CathInfo for which I think a case might be made for treating it as SSPX-members-only.  Altho' to my surprise, I seem to have been the last person to post on a thread there, just last week, where 4 genuine questions I posed, related to accordista-SSPX and indult issues, have received zero responses.
