Let's say that a clan system were established, such as you recommend.  Who would regulate and put an end to the feuds between the clans ?I did say judges are chosen to settle disputes with patriarchs and between patriarchs.

How are they chosen? How are their decisions enforced?

  • A friend of mine took great offense to the idea that I would be pro Monarchist.  It enraged him.  He sometimes speaks endearingly about the fact that his ancestors were Masons, so perhaps he is one too and just doesn't tell me.  Who knows.

One thing that he argued was that America is such a great place, that it has afforded me the choice to convert to Catholicism and even have an opinion about Monarchy.  I suppose the other option would be to live in a country where that wouldn't be an option?

So, being devil's advocate, what do you folks have to say about that?

What if I were to tell you:  America is a great place, and it affords us the ability to even have the option of converting to Catholicism or even preferring Monarchy.

Or, another thing he said:  America has far more accomplishments than any Catholic Monarchy ever did.

    I await your answers.

  • Every Catholic heart is a Monarchist heart because Monarchy "reflects the order of things in the Church," Jesus Christ being a King whose power comes from above, not an elected official whose power comes from below.

Although, it may be possible to have Catholic social order with other form of well established government, (except for Communism or Socialism, which are completely contrary to Christian principles), a Catholic Monarchy is most definitely the ideal. Democracy is the kind of system that picked Barabbas over Jesus.
If anyone says that true and natural water is not necessary for baptism and thus twists into some metaphor the words of our Lord Jesus Christ" Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit" (Jn 3:5) let him be anathema.

This reflects the freedom of thought, speech, and religion this country was founded upon and while it is certainly true that it is good to be able to choose be a Monarchist and convert to Catholicism, more often than not, these human liberties that originated with the masonic French Revolution end up in nothing more than error and decadence. This is because of the reality of Original Sin. Humans can do nothing profitable for their salvation without Christ, the King.

What kind of "accomplishments" was he referring to? The spiritual illness and general societal decay is evident. Probably no society has produced more saints (which is the only purpose of the universe, by the way) than in the Middle Ages under well established Catholic monarchies, when the Church's authority superseded the authority of the State. The level of "accomplishments" in a society should be measured by the amount of saints it produces.

  • The "will of the People" is corrupt, but the Catholic Monarch would be bound in all matters of faith and morals in obedience to the Church. Therefore, all law and culture must reflect the faith and morals of the Catholic Church. The Catholic Monarch is not free to act as he pleases. Even an “absolute” Catholic Monarch is always under the “constitution” of the Church, which is the constitution of God.

10 Reasons for the Catholic Monarchy:
