  • These are the typical generational cohorts, as defined in the United States (and to a certain extent, Western Society generally).  Of course, because they aren't strictly defined, the dates overlap to a certain extent.

So, to which generation to you belong?  I am a Millennial.

    The Lost Generation
    Born 1880s – 1900s
    Came of age during WWI

The Greatest Generation (“The GI Generation”)
    Born 1900s – 1920s
Came of age during Great Depression & WWII

The Silent Generation (“The Lucky Few”)
    Born 1920s – 1940s
Came of age during Korean War & peak of Cold War tensions

    The Baby Boom Generation
    Born 1940s – 1960s
Came of age during Vietnam War, Counterculture & Civil Rights Movement

    Generation X (“The MTV Generation”)
    Born 1960s – 1980s
Came of age with the rise of the personal computer & other technological advances

    Generation Y (“The Millennials”)
    Born 1980s – 2000s
    Currently coming of age

    Generation Z
    Currently being born

If anyone says that true and natural water is not necessary for baptism and thus twists into some metaphor the words of our Lord Jesus Christ" Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit" (Jn 3:5) let him be anathema.

    Same for me.
The good shepherd giveth his life for his sheep.  But the hireling, and he that is not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and flieth, and the wolf catcheth, and scattereth the sheep.  A

  • Catholics should be wary to respond to survey-like inquiries from new posters.
"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

    Indeed. Bravo!

Still, what a shame that you have to point this out! Yet people seem already to be lining up to spill the beans to a guy who got here minutes ago and is already posting five comments a day.

I'm a member of the Mind My Own Business Generation, incidentally.

Assume bad intentions, in other words?

Whatever, feel free not to answer.  I was just curious.

  • Timothy, if you're a traditional Catholic then you can understand that we should be suspicious of threads which could easily be used for data mining purposes.  The enemies of the faith are real, and the invisible ones often have visible minions.

  •  :dancing-banana:Anyone can find out how old I am.  Born Feb. 10, 1960.  Baby Boomer.
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

  •  I am just saying, if you are in generation Z, or Y (but born after 1995), you shouldn't post on this thread? In which case I am in generation Y. I have alluded to my age already in a different thread so my OPSEC is ruined anyway.

Stir up within Thy Church, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the Spirit with which blessed Josaphat, Thy Martyr and Bishop, was filled, when he laid down his life for his sheep: so that, through his intercession, we too may be moved and strengthen by the same Spir

  • A Boomer from 1946.

I wished that the radical ideals of the 1960's never happened.
These radical ideals were the work of the CIA to subvert the youth.
This is the generation now ruling the country and the world, and
everything is worse, and getting worse because of the engineered
lies and propaganda along with the Jєωιѕн banking and media control
    beginning with the 1960's.
