  • Has anyone else here noticed that the days and weeks seem to be flying by more rapidly than ever?  Or is it just my imagination because I am having so much fun?

  • The older we get, the more time seems to fly by.

A couple years ago, an "alternative news" blogger (actually, it was a Podcast) was saying that something seemed odd with time lately, like it was speeding up, etc.

I personally don't believe any of that. Time is just man's measurement for change, and in that sense it's objective, but as far as how it FEELS it's always very subjective. "Time flies when you're having fun", the trip THERE always feels longer than the trip home, once you're over the hill you pick up speed, etc.

Anyhow, I am very busy these days -- but I can account for every hour I've been awake. I haven't seen any hours disappearing. So either Father Time is staying sober as a judge in my neck of the woods, or it's all a load of hogwash!

I will have nothing to do with the AARP. Such a
very liberal secular and a non catholic group.

Not a week goes by without getting an appeal to join from this group.   We've been getting them for years.

  • Summers from my childhood stretch out forever in my memory.  Now I swear they last about fifteen minutes.
Stir up within Thy Church, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the Spirit with which blessed Josaphat, Thy Martyr and Bishop, was filled, when he laid down his life for his sheep: so that, through his intercession, we too may be moved and strengthen by the same Spir

  • One of my (very few) close friends and I had a discussion not very long ago about the passage of time. Our Lord said, "Those times will be shortened." The seconds on a nuclear clock keep going by second by second, but after our discussion, we both hold the opinion that time, is, in fact, shortening for the Elect.

Hopefully this is good news for me.  :laugh1:
