"The Jєωs -- who own the media -- know this. That is why they give publicity to these famous protestants -- it helps their cause in the long run. After watching Britney Spears (and countless others) fall, after seeming to be so innocent, one is led to conclude that "it's impossible to stay pure".
See, at that point it's "mission accomplished" for the evil Jєωs who run the media and the world."
That is it exactly, except Britney Spears never seemed to be innocent. Obviously you have never seen one of her early shows!
The trick was that she claimed to be a virgin -- or her psychotic, evil handlers claimed it for her, among whom are included HER PARENTS, who are Protestants -- while dressing like a Vegas hooker. The subliminal message being sent to girls, and to their mothers, was that sexy outfits are all in good fun, as long as we stay pure! MOM, can I wear these thigh-high boots? Don't be so uptight, all the other girls at school are doing it! Well, okay, honey, I don't want to be a spoilsport... You know what happens next.
Seriously, the way I've seen young girls dressing around here is so appalling that when I read threads on CathInfo about the inappropriateness of pants on women, I just think "I WISH I had some pairs of pants to hand out." Communist plot or not... Sheesh.
Looking for anything positive in the media is like being a Novus Ordo Catholic stretching your mind into a pretzel in order to find anything "orthodox" in your priest's sermon. "Wait -- did he just say he was against abortion? See, he must be a Catholic!" ( Or what if he wants that child to be raised in Novus Ordo and thus fodder for Satan? That is why this is the one area where Ratzinger agrees with traditionalists, because he knows in today's climate that most kids have no chance ).
I am not dark and cynical, but this is the world that I am living in. And until people see the truth, or Christ comes back, this madness will go on and on and on.
As for this Tim Tebow guy, he's just another sports star, and sports are dumb. If "Tim Tebow" was a Mormon and was going to stay "pure" until his marriage, knowing that that may be the first of several "marriages," would you find this laudable?
To take an example that WOULD be positive, what if one of these Disney stars I talked about, though far from a virgin, became a traditional Catholic and began to talk about the mind-control practiced on them at Disney? Now that would be positive.
