    • yes. I've hard good things about Choroquine phosphate- a derivitive of the old quinine tonic my father used to take for the malaria he caught in the South Pacific during WWll.
    What I don't understand is that malaria is an ameoba/ parasite infection from mosquitos, and the Corona virus is a "virus".... why would it work and if it does, is the Corona virus really a virus?

    This Virus causes breathing problems. I heard one victim telling us it was like trying to breath through a straw one tenth the size on the normal straw. If this drug helps relieve the symptoms caused by the virus, then that is a great help. Trump said it was already helping some.

    • And these hospitals use these ventilators forcing tubes down people’s throats which makes it harder to breath.  No common sense in the medical world.

    • Reportedly it takes this drug 6 days to drive out the virus.  It still involves hospital stays who otherwise would have needed them, but it could reduce hospital stays from several weeks to just one week, thus preventing the overwhelming of the medical system.

    Some people have said, however, that it can have bad side effects, including serious psychological issues.

    • a ventilator can get people past  terrible respiratory episodes like pneumonia and allow the machine to breath for themwhile the sedated pt is resting. It is a lifesaver for most.  The goal is to get them better and breathing on their own without distress

    • I read that some sort of retinopathy is a side effect. Other than that the drug has been around 50 years and still in use.
