These things just make me sick. But I'm not surprised.
Have you read the book "The Decline of Males" by Lionel Tiger?
He's not a Christian at all but he makes the case for this type attitude by linking it to the contraception mentality.
I'll give you a brief: Prior to contraception, when a man had sex with a woman there was a very high probability that she might become pregnant. If you, the man, slept with her then you rightly could assume that you were the baby's father. This accounts for the many, many women who had "lovers" but never told their boyfriends. So their boyfriends just married them because their girlfriend was pregnant.
Fast forward to today. About 95% of women use some form of contraception or men use condoms. When men have sex with women they no longer can honestly believe that 1)she is only having sex with him, 2)that she actually is pregnant, and 3)that she didn't get pregnant on purpose. So they adopt this attitude that the baby is not mine or we both didn't want one, or you are setting me up. So his solution: It's not mine or have an abortion--I didn't want it anyway.
It's sick, yes, and it's so wrong on so many levels. But it's not unexpected.
IOW, the contraception culture has led to abortion on demand and attitudes just like this.
It's sick, it's from the devil, and I just hate it.
