  •  Epistle Of Saint Paul To The Ephesians
    Chapter 2

[1] And you, when you were dead in your offences, and sins, [2] Wherein in time past you walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of this air, of the spirit that now worketh on the children of unbelief:

Epistle Of Saint Paul To The Ephesians
    Chapter 6

[11] Put you on the armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the deceits of the devil. [12] For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood; but against principalities and power, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places. [13] Therefore take unto you the armour of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and to stand in all things perfect. [14] Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of justice, [15] And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace:

[12] In the high places: or heavenly places. That is to say, in the air, the lowest of the celestial regions; in which God permits these wicked spirits or fallen angels to wander.

  • This has been known about for ages.

It's a speculative presentation and has been debunked

  • It does help actually.  It helps you pay you mortgage, get a better job, study hard for necessary qualifications and generally have a healthy outlook on life.  Helps you get out there meet new clients, help them with their long term software development plans, send out invoices, hire new staff, etc.

It might be coming down the pike, it might not, at least in our lifetimes.  But Cassandras have been spouting this doom and gloom for decades and many a Traditionalist has let it affect their motivations in life.  I've seen posts on Catholic forums questioning whether it was worth getting married.  I know people who have moved to remote places to be away from future gangs of marauders and then been too poor to function properly as a family because, guess what, there are no good jobs in remote places.

Either way, coming or not coming, you are not less susceptible to Ebola or a giant tidal wave than I am.  Meanwhile the children of people who don't let this stuff consume them have an optimistic view of life.

It's impossible to hold a belief that the world is about to be turned upside down and not have that change you daily decisions.  Yesterday I took six children to a theme park on the way back from a week long summer camp costing 2500 dollars.  Would I have spent that money if I was convinced I needed more shotgun shells, beans, water filters or quarantine tents for the inevitable Ebola outbreak.

  • One of these days it will be "the big one" but we are not to know the hour nor the day...

Until then, remain in a state of Sanctifying Grace and frequent the Sacraments regularly.

  • :dancing-banana:I think she might be a robot.  That would explain the make-up and ugly glasses!
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

  • Hello Brethren -

I was wondering what ya'll think of the year 2019 for the end of time and beginning of eternity ?

I feel God has imprinted that year in my mind for reasons known only completely to him - And him alone.

And, here is another consideration - If we are at the VERY end of time - How do you feel about being that generation that will actually see Satan fully exposed for the Liar and Fraud that he is ?

    Good Day

But 62myer, Our Lord says in Sacred Scripture that only the Father knows when the world ends. Now, do not be mistaken, we are in tumultuous times both in the Church and in the world. I just don't think it warrants trying to know when.

Read: But of that day and hour no one knoweth, not the angels of heaven, but the Father alone. - St. Matthew 24:36
Remember O most gracious Virgin Mary...

    Good Day

Fr. Pfeiffer recently gave a little 3 part catechism in India explaining the Seven Ages of the Church. It was very informative. First comes the chastisement, then a period of peace, then the anti-Christ, then the end. Our children might live to see that day...

Jesus said, "Watch and pray." We have to stay alert to the catastrophes that may come our way. Regardless of what we know or want to know, it is certain that if Russia is not consecrated, God will chastise the world. We can't bury our heads in the sand.

With that in mind, it's not a bad idea to physically prepare to the best of our ability while at the same time remaining somewhat balanced.

It is our duty as parents to take care of our children's basic needs. When things get bad and your children are hungry, perhaps you will wish you had some extra beans stocked up! Memories of a theme park won't sustain you and your family!
