Stephen, please stick around. Your posts add alot to this forum.
No offense to anyone, but I must agree with Stephen Francis. This is more to let off some steam that has been bothering me for a few weeks now, but to be honest I think it's wrong that trolls are tolerated so much here, and not so much by Matthew either. For example, when Raoul started that thread asking for Capistrano to be banned, he got alot of thumbs-down from people who were offended that he had the nerve to say he thought Cap should be banned. And every person who thumbed him down had it thrown back in their face after it was revealed that Capistrano was Richard Ibranyi (or one of his supporters).
I saw the same crap when I started that thread asking roscoe to be banned. Yes, I admitted I shouldn't have started the thread and apologized for the way things all transpired as a result of the thread. But I'm talking about the view by some people here that we should "all get along an no one should be banned". Funny how some people thought I was such a bad person to ask for roscoe to be banned. Myrna was a prime example, accusing me of trying to "crucify" roscoe and not even caring about the way he had treated people here. Then she goes and tells Eamon off for his criticisms of thr CMRI. I'm not saying Eamon didn't deserve admonishment, because he did, but I see a big double standard there. It's ok if someone slanders people left and right and posts crap that wouldn't be tolerated on many other forums, but if someone criticizes a group, look out. I'd bet Myrna would have felt 10 sizes smaller had I gone on that thread where she was fighting with Eamon and said to her "Oh Myrna, you're just trying to crucify Eamon". Yeah, imagine how I must have felt. It's not really a big deal now because roscoe rarely posts anymore and I feel dumb for wasting my time trying to get him banned, but that doesn't mean that we should be tolerating nonsense.
If someone in your parish turned out to be a ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ and your parish priest(s) were going to kick him out, would you accept the move or go "Oh, you're just trying to crucify him". Sin is sin, regardless of who is. I've seen too many people here the last few months advocating this "let's all just get along" crap when it comes to admonishing sinners. Trust me, I don't like fighting, but should we really just sit back and take it when someone does or says something that is harmful? And I once heard a Traditional priest in a sermon say "We aren't all here to get along". And he's right, we're not.
So I think anyone who comes on here and posts rubbish should be banned and not be allowed to troll, or be defended. We are never supposed to defend or allow sin.
