To those of you visiting Cathinfo for the first (or second) time:

A little bit about this forum:

Unlike many other online discussion boards, we don't ban people at the drop of a hat. We realize that God gave us Free Will, and that it isn't our job to prevent every sin (or error).

Here is the easiest way to explain our censorship policy (or lack thereof):

Do you attend Mass on Sunday? What does everyone do after Mass? They go over to the parish hall for coffee & donuts. While discussing issues with your fellow Catholics, do you often see a couple of big, burly bodyguards carry people outside every few minutes or so, after they said the wrong thing?

Perhaps they started talking about cօռspιʀαcιҽs? Perhaps they uttered a material heresy (possibly out of ignorance)? Perhaps they disagreed with the long-standing parish members about a given issue?

See, it would be ridiculous to consider casting out parishioners who go off-topic or hold the wrong opinion about something. But why cast them out on what is the equivalent of an online parish hall?

Since I can talk about whatever I want to my fellow-parishioners after Mass, and I am grateful for that privilege, I wish to give the same privilege to the members of Cathinfo -- your own online parish hall.
