Anyone hear of this?? Looks good to me! Acting is very, very youthful (we're talking kids..), and perhaps not the best, but it seems to promote the social Kingship of Christ!!! I say I'd promote it!

Where are the adults? Is it just about one village where all the adults were killed?

The war in the Vendee was about the Catholic peasant uprising against the horror of the french revolution. The brave Vendean soldiers were close to destroying the revolution several times, but were betrayed by cowardly french princes. Michael Davies wrote a good book about the uprising. I have no use for Davies theologically, but this was a fine history book.

No. They're using youngsters solely throughout the film, but the teens are playing the adult roles. Movies like this tend to be great so long as they leave out immature humor, but I don't think we have to worry about that here. They seem to know they're target audience. :)

Joseph d'Elbee had better show up in this film, or else!

The book is called For Altar and Throne: The Rising In The Vendee.

Just wanted to let you all know this movie is now available for sale. $20. I'm going to buy it. We're always complaining about the trash being put out on TV, I say we support films like this!
