You seem to be presuming, Diego, that iman123's choice of the word "Remnant"
for his underground network title means that it is in some manner associated with
the Remnant Newspaper of Michael Matt.  

However, everyone so far reading this sees your word, "Matt" and presumes you
must be talking about Matthew, the CI Forum owner.  

Now, you would be the first one to accuse Matthew of siding with rabbis for just
about anything except perhaps the choice of pickled herring or lox and cream
cheese on a sliced and toasted Bialy bagel.  With a Lone Star Beer, of course!  

Well, the rabbi probably won't do the Lone Star.  It's not Kosher.   HAHAHAHAHA

But seriously, I highly doubt that iman123 is an MM groupie.  And I don't mean

He appears to be attempting to go head to head with Michael Voris of "The Vortex" fame.  At 10:35 you will notice that Mr. Matt states that Pope Benedict XVI is trying to bring back the traditional Mass and sanctuary.   Hmm. He must see something I don't see.  

Would that be a case of Voris envy?

That was precisely my thought from the start. This must be an attempt to survive.

And as far as I know Matthew is not referred to as Matt.  Who would presume to diminish such a grand name for such an esteemed personage?

I doubt it.  Michael Matt is quite famous, or infamous, depending on what you think of him. I doubt anyone would mix us up.

(I always thought it strange when people have last names that are a perfect "first name". How did that happen?)

Everyone who's been on CI longer than 5 minutes should know that I always go by "Matthew", not "Matt".

And need I point out that Matthew is the male equivalent of "Jennifer" -- both names held the #1 baby name spot for many years back in the 70's and 80's.

One year at the Seminary, we had 6 Matthews out of 39 seminarians. I think there were 6 Michaels as well.
