Hey, let's break the ice a little (so Raoul doesn't completely snap). My name is Matthew Snyder and I live in Indiana. Married with four children, 6, 4, 2, 7 mos.
I enjoy studying philosophy and theology. I reverted to the Faith by the mercy of God when I was about 23. I turn 34 today. After my reconversion, I read day and night. At about 25, after reading many encyclicals and works of theology, I began to see the incongruity of the N.O. with tradition as well as the similarity of modern opinions with what had been condemned in the past. I saw a vast contradiction between the spirit of sanctity, piety and wisdom that imbued or should imbue Catholicism and that which pervaded the modern Church, which was the spirit of the world.
Aside from that I love puppies, long walks in the park and sipping hot cocoa in front of a fire place.
