  • If you got kicked out by a heretical priest, question is, why did you not leave when you seen this priest as no priest but a heretic?  I think God is on your side to see you kicked out, don't you?

looks like Satan virtually won... Remember when he visited Leo XIII (I believe it was) and said something like Give me a century and i will destroy the Church?

yeh... looks like he virtually won

Which church did you get driven out of, who is the priest and for what reason?

Satan's challenge to destroy the Church, as Christ moves towards His glorious triumph, serves a purpose  - or God would have never allowed him to try.

I like the way Fr. Wathen puts it:
"....no matter what anyone does, whether from within or without, he will not succeed in destroying the Church. The enemies of Christ's Church do not believe this, which explains why they will never cease to try."
"But Peter and the apostles answering, said: We ought to obey God, rather than men." - Acts 5:29

The Highest Principle in the Church: "We are first of all under obedience to God, and only then under obedience to man" - Fr. Hesse

  • The answer is no, it does not. Praise God he gave us His Church to see us through to heaven! The gates of hell will not prevail against it.

I've seen a handful of posts on the forum lately of people blaming the church for their problems. I think maybe they are confusing the Church with some unsavory people operating within the Church. I would suggest going back to the very basics and diving into a trusty old Catechism to understand what the Church really is. In doing so, I pray you will find some encouragement. Within the Church we see Our Lords great and unfailing love for us.

    Take heart, please!

Religion clean and undefiled before God and the Father, is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their tribulation: and to keep one's self unspotted from this world.
    ~James 1:27

wow, that is interesting bc I had the same thought... which maybe doesn't warrant the "wow" but in any case... I mean it doesn't warrant it bc it should be seen as .. just the way things are at this time in history vis a vis the Church, vis a vis civilization in general..
assuming we have a civilization anymore... all the lawlessness...
exemplified by this priest's conduct (Do I still  call him a priest? sigh...)

yeh, as to that last, I have had the same thought as Fr W
which Church? I don't want to say at this time... Does it matter? Other churches I have been to are... well, the priests there have also acted like I was far from welcome, so he is just the one who took it to the utmost... his hate.
Jesus said we would be hated (Mark 1313 and etc)
anyway.. yes, I do realize (but thanks for the reminder, esp to those who don't realize) that God allows such things for a reason. Soemtimes we impatient creatures get angry and upset w/ God's ways... bc as per Isaiah, they are not OUR ways...  but I think we can all agree God knows best...

well, u are assuming too much
I know all too well how the Church is not merely the sum total of all its evil members and of course they are all "evil" bc of sin... That said, I don't belive most Catholics attempt to give up ALL their most egregious sins... and some of us try but not very hard... but whatever... I digress
I did not intend to come across as "blaming the Church" for my problems. But there are plenty of EVIL (yes, evil) people in the Church who need to... frankly get out of their positions therein... There are seriously creepy things going on in the Church today... and I just wonder how long Jesus will tolerate such, assuming he tolerates...

  • Was it an SSPX chapel? Their priests are moved around alot, so if it was, there is a chance you can just wait it out for a little while and go back when the new priest takes the chapel over. Maybe that would solve the problem. It makes me sad to think that you aren't going to Mass and Confession at all. I hope you find an answer soon.
thanks for your empathy vis a vis my spiritual condition w/ o t he Mass. I do travel out of the way sometimes to go to Mass but I used to enjoy Mass every day and now I don't ..
no it wasn't SSPX. I wish I had access to one of those.
I also wish t he priests were moved around more. this heretical hateful one has been in the same parish for over a decade.. Maybe you could pray about this situation?
