I'm actually making a pot of sauce for him and his family as I write this. He's banged up pretty good, stitches over his eye and he's in a sling for his arm. When they arrived from the graveside back at St. Vincent's he was cheerful and even smiling. He's a good kid that's for sure. Each step as he walked by me into our hall, he was saying "ow" "ow" "ow". Frankly he's so darn cute it was hard to not have a smile on your face as well. He actually cheered me and my wife up a bit given the circuмstances. They are a good family and a good example to the rest of the parish that is for sure. I hope my sauce isn't too spicy for them, I do make it old school like my nonna used to.
