I told someone on this board about this book. I am reading it for the fifth time. I just love and I think many of you will as well. If anyone has read this already I would like to hear what you think of it. I am amazed each time I pick it up on how it mirrors the world today.

  • I have not read it recently, but I enjoyed reading about the young lady in the novel. The transformation of her character ends in tragedy, but it was a beautiful development.

I enjoyed the depiction of anti-Catholicism in the book, including the section when people are parading in the streets with the bodies of dead Catholics, etc.

  • I generally takes Dawn's advice but novels are not my type of thing. Could a review of the book be posted?
There Is No Such Thing As 'Sede Vacantism'...
nor is there such thing as a 'Feeneyite' or 'Feeneyism'

  • I don't know of any reviews, since its an older book (the Wikipedia article on it is not accurate at all really).

Its hard to summarize it. Its a dystopian novel, but that is about all I can say.

  • Now, I am curious about his book is it called the Dawn of All? But, you can not go  wrong with Come Rack and Come Rope.
Get the kleenex box though for the end. The tortures those priests went through and especially Benson's knack for tying things together WOW

  • I read Come Rack, Come Rope when I was homeschooling my daughter.  It is very sad.

  • Well, I see Matthew put the entire book up. In that book, The Lord of the World, Benson has written about the apotles of the End Time. I forget the title he gives, but they are bound for martyrdom.

  • According to St. Louis de Montfort the apostles of the end times are the ones Mary uses to grind the serpent's head.  Nothing said about martyrdom....but living in these days alone is a martyrdom.   People like Elana Kagan alone would make every Catholic wince.

I am going to start the book this week.  Another eye opening book very similar is The Book of Destiny (kramer).
