Minnesota would also be good. There's a lot of parts with good Catholics and there's at least 5 Latin Mass areas in the Twin Cities. (1 is SSPX, 1 is FSSP and 2 are diocesan, the other I'm not entirely sure about)

The situation I am now, I seriously never find a "Best Place" to live
as a Traditional Catholic. I am surrounded by Southern Baptists and they run
this area. The Mall at the Woodlands, Texas was closed all day Easter
Sunday. Absolutely everybody goes to Church in their SUNDAY'S BEST.
The Baptist Church near me already torn down their 15 year old building
and replacing it with a building twice the size.
There is a group of Baptists even using the Knight's of Columbus Hall
on FM 1488 for Sunday Services.
All I have is my Rosary, my internet Masses, and Traditional Prayer Books.
And internet sites such as CI.
I just cannot go near the local Novus ordo Church fearing I may lose my
Faith.

It's hard to raise a family in a place like that. I admit that those Southern Baptists live a more holy life than most N.O. Kids growing up will see that and assume the Evangelical way is better than the Catholic way. I work with lots of N.O. Catholics and they are horrible.

This is an honest question, and I very much appreciated Francis' analysis of it. My reply is to grow where our Blessed Lord has planted us all.

Each of us needs to realize that God has placed us where we are for a reason. Some in suburbs, some in downtown urban areas such as what Francis describes, some in farm towns and many variants in between. Traditional Catholics are needed in all areas of society and if it were not so, how could we be salt and light in our hometowns? Our Blessed Lord told us to be salt and light (Matthew 5:13 - 16)

I look at some towns like St. Mary's, Kansas and I do not see a utopia - far from it. While you would expect to see a harmonious group of Trad Catholics, still there are clics that develop,gossip, and all the other deposits of sin that you might find anywhere.

We cannot "create" or take our family to that special place we might desire for our families, but we can create it in our own homes wherever it might be. We create it in our own individual homes. The only caveat is that there should be availability to the Traditional Catholic sacraments near us.

At this time no. The Southern Baptists are no threat to me. They
do no seek converts, because so many unchurched families whom
had no previous religious experiences are joining them.
This is what the Catholic Church is missing out. If it was not for
Vatican 2, perhaps these families would have been joining the
Catholic Church. And that was exactly happened up until
Vatican 2. My family is an example. I came from a family of
Methodists.

Again, the problem we all fall into is that WE believe that we know more about where God has placed us than HE does. While we want the best for our families and ourselves, why did our Blessed Lord settle you where you are now? Do you want to take back that which He has given you? Do believe there must be a better place? Therein lies the real issue, does it not? We cannot presume to know better than our Blessed Savior who placed each of us where we are now.

As for the Southern Baptists, they and other protestant sects must always be a non-entity for us all. Not an option. They don't exist, exist in fantasy for them.

That doesn't mean that we cannot broaden our areas of seeking out the sacraments and that is really what we are talking about, that and possibly the relationships that exist in other areas where there are more Traditional Catholics. If that is the real issue, that you are simply alone and that your soul or the souls of your family might be at risk, there is no reason not to relocate, where work might exist for you and where others might live with Traditional Catholic influences for you and your family.

Just in case anybody gets misled by this load of hooey, I live in Houston near the Woodlands and the Baptists don't "run this area." Of course there are many Baptists here, this is the South and everybody knows there are a lot of Southern Baptists in the South. There are also a lot of Catholic-hating Pentecostals but that's also to be expected in these parts. Actually the population of the Houston area is about one-third Catholic and especially in the Woodlands there are many Catholic families.

A lot of malls close in the South on Easter Sunday. They close on Christmas, New Year's, Memorial Day and July the 4th as well. Christianity is not so "underground" down here than in other parts of the country and people are less apologetic about their religiosity.

I don't wonder that Baptists are building a new building: almost every kind of religion here is expanding because the population itself is expanding. The Houston metropolitan area now has almost six million inhabitants and continues to grow. The Woodlands in particular, along with Sugarland and Baytown, is the one of the fastest-growing areas.

There are several options for the Tridentine Mass in this area. A downtown church offers an indult/motu proprio Mass and has offered it since the early 80's. The FSSP is building a church on the West side and in the meantime is using a Novus Ordo church for masses. The SSPX has two mass locations: a church with priory in D-i-c-k-inson just south of Houston and a chapel on the north side just about fifteen minutes from the Woodlands. If that's not enough for you, there's also a sedevacantist chapel towards the southwest.

So please don't go feeling too sorry for the besieged poster I'm quoting. This is really a pretty good place to be a Catholic and not even a bad one to be a Traditional one.

Go to other parts of the country where their is a large novus ordo
population. You will find all the Malls open on Easter Sunday.
It was funny, I was at the front door at the Woodlands Mall in
the Woodlands, Texas. And many people coming from the street
only to find the Mall closed.
I was there to take photos of the area. Such a beautiful area to
take photos. Everything such as the canal and the lake are all
man made. Years ago, before the Mall was built up, during
Christmas time at night, they had a light show called "Angels in
the Woodlands" in which you could drive your car through.

Everything is hard RomanCatholic 1953. What, you believe it is supposed to be easy? I don't know any truly Traditional Catholic who is living the easy life, and if you know of one, beware, there must be something wrong.

The thing is, satan himself hates you and your family and he wants to drag your soul to hell with him. Where you move, he'll be there to greet you. Consider the drive to the nearest Traditional Latin Mass a blessing, a day out with your family, as often as you can make it, like each Sunday. If it is just yourself, so be it, but go and with happiness and a greatful heart.

The Southern B's and other protestant groups? They don't exist in your world, in our world. We are in the world, but not of it. Do you believe that? If so, fight off the enemy who would have you doubt yourself and your faith until he can drag you off. Scrub him.
