... "Have I kept company with someone else's spouse?".
I personally think it means keeping company with the new friend who is MARRIED and of the opposite sex, alone, without the spouse present, in public, just you and the married person - for dinner, sharing the same glass - which can lead to misleading intentions or deception..
Raoul76 says, in a previous post/thread about dinner with a married woman (Moral theology question -- males and [married] females sharing from same glass):
‘Kept company means "had sex with." It's a euphemism’.
Do you agree or disagree? Please explain/discuss.
I would like to be enlightened by this subject because it is a subject which is constant in the secular world (by far this is not an attack on Raoul76, he just brings up a very important reaction, one to which must be discussed. He seems to be misguided and I am concerned.. do most people share his opinion?)
Thank you.
