Satan the liar used the media to misinforms the public in the early 1900's according to the methods of the moment. At this time, there was no videos, and it took several days for stories to go out. Satan naturally used venality to twist or to cover-up the facts, mainly through editors-in-chief of major newspapers.
Satan the liar went to work in a big way in 1905; in 1912; and in 1917.

 1905: An earthquake destroyed San Francisco. It was reported that the devastation came mainly from a fire. This was a lie. The fire was an aftermath of the earthquake and did not destroyed the entire city. It is the earthquake that caused great damages. For example Saint Dominic Church (2390 Bush Street) was completely destroyed, in the same way as all the major buildings of the city. The photographs that were shown several days later by the newspapers were touched-up. The archives of the several historical societies of San Francisco and California show both sets of those photos.
Why was it covered-up? Answer: Earthquake was a threat to the reputation of the city, it was bad for business. The railroad companies owned real estate land, and used their power to buy disinformation.

 1912: God sank the Titanic (see my previous posting). Satan used all the tools of disinformation of the moment. The editors-in-chief of the newspaper, naturally, omitted to report the blasphemes made against the Roman Catholic Church and against the Pope that were written along the floating-line of the ship. That is a given!
Satan went a step further this time by using the Catholic Church's moles. It is known that the Church was already infiltrated at the highest levels. For example the Luciferian Cardinal Rampolla had nearly been elected Pope. Priests of the diocese of Belfast had to have been made aware of the said blasphemies written along the floating-line by the Protestant workers, because there were also Catholic workers (usually the Catholics were unskilled labor). The good Priests' reports were simply blocked-out by the higher clergy, and they never reached the Holy Father. There is no doubt that Saint Pius X would have made a formidable noise from his writing-desk had he known the reasons of the disaster.
Why was it covered-up? Obviously Satan did not wish the world to know of the omnipotence of God. This time, as for the San Francisco earthquake, he used greed. The Titanic disaster was bad for business. The shipping-line was carrying many immigrants, and did not wished to by exposed as having been accursed by God.

1917: Fatima was covered-up in using similar methods of disinformation: The editor-in-chief of the newspaper were bought. For example the day after the Miracle of the Sun, a correspondent of a major News Service cabled a long report from Lisboa. This report was edited in a few lines at page 24 of the largest New York newspaper (source: Our Lady of Fatima by William Thomas Walsh, a book with the imprimatur by Francis Cardinal Spellman, Archbishop of NY).
The news of the Miracle of the Sun in Fatima occurred during the World Series. It was bad for business to tell of something different than scores, statistics, and home-runs. God was warning of the End of the World, and the "world" was concerned with the World Series.
It is to be said that in the Vatican, many powerful men were also playing their part in the cover-up, and the rest of the world was bleeding because of the war, but mainly the decision power was already in the United States, which remained silent.

 Those three cases of disinformation are incremental. Each time Satan the liar used greed.
The first cover-up (of the San Francisco earthquake) might look acceptable, although it is obviously a lie.
The second cover-up (of the Titanic) was criminal against all the Christians, since the reason of the disaster was an insult made against the Catholic Church and against the Pope, thus demonstrating that the Catholic Church is the sole way towards salvation.
The third cover-up (of Fatima) was a crime against humanity.
