I am not saying that money is bad or worthless. It is a means, and it can be a good and necessary means given to us by God. Unlike what zorosterans believe, the goodness and necessity of things that God has created doesn't make us their servants. The nature, rivers, air etc. are precious, good and really needed. but as means not as ends in themselves.

They say that God doesn't give us a dream He doesn't mean to accomplish. I suppose that dream is our vocation.

Spouse of Jesus, do the zoroastrians (sp) believe we are the servants of things? If so, they are way out in left field.

Hey, is that where all this New Age garbage comes from? So now we have toads and fish and insects and what haven't you bearing greater importance than men.

Can anyone expound on Alexandria and Elizabeth's thoughts? I know a number of children know their mothers killed their siblings and are none too happy about it.

It comes from Animism and Pantheism. I dont know anything about zoroastrianism, but I do know, that like all superstitious religions, it's an offspring of Animism and Pantheism.

Well, Zorosterans believe that the four ellements are holy. So they don't bury the dead lest the earth is poluted. They can't wash any dirty thing in a river, rather they must take some amount of water from the river and wash their things in it, and not put the dirty objects directly into the main stream of the water. They used to treat fire as sth holy. So they wouldn't jump on the fire on the last wednesday before Norooz. (as we do now)
It is the law for them though I am not sure if they still follow it in the modern world.
That's why the animal rights group have a great preferance for "eastern religions over abrahamic ones" as they put it.
