1 Humans possess desires
2 They associate in groups to gratify those desires
3 The groups develop cultures
4 The cultures are adhered to to gratify desires
Catholic paradox
1 Christ preached self denial and apathy towards peer approval
2 Catholic church establishes culture based on his teaching
3 Catholic culture becomes mechanism for gratification of desire
4 Catholics value peer approval and their place in chapel hierarchy
5 Catholic culture based on Christ becomes bastardized by individuals trying to gratify desire
6 Self denial and apathy to peer approval are stigmatized by the church community
7 Christ and his doctrine is expelled from church culture
8 Superficial front of Christ emulation remains
9 Christ is disowned by his followers and has no place in his own church
It is impossible for Christ's teaching of apathy towards peer approval to survive in his own church,
because catholics wont practice his teaching. They portray to the world that they do,
but how many Catholics do you know have apathy towards peer approval.
Why is gossip, backbiting, hurtful comments, etc a universal trademark of SSPX parishioners.
