  • I've read some disturbing things about him and the whole case seems fishy, has anyone read this?

Note: I disagree on many things with Ibranyi and he's obviously not a Catholic.

  • No thread on St. Thomas More would be complete without his portrait.

I tried to use the address to get back to the site using the address I posted, no luck.

This is how I found the address, type,  Ibranyi, Thomas More into your favorite search engine and you should get to the right spot.

Strange how the address doesn't work.

"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

After a little more research, I discover the problem.

For some reason the link starts with, www.#### and this is where everything goes wrong.  Type the address in like this, (don't click on the link)...

    www.johnthebaptist.us/jbw_english/docuмents/refutations/rjmi/rr33_ag_thomas_more.pdf

Haven't read the article yet, hope it's good after all the effort.

  • I think that Richard Ibranyi's website is banned from Cathinfo and whenever you type it in it comes out as: ####. I think that's the problem. I found the article using google.

Richard Ibranyi doesn't like a number of saints and thinks they are in hell despite their canonization.

The man is an absolute lunatic, and an offense to Catholic piety.  I'm glad that his site is banned from here.  For this man, I think the crisis began the minute Christ ascended into Heaven.  Stay far, far away.

I just scanned the article and must say it left me confused.  Now I don't know who is more off the wall, Richard Ibranyi or the Dimond brothers.

I agree with Mithrandylan, best to stay away from Ibranyi!

I would say that Richard Ibranyi is definitely more off the wall than the Dimond brothers. He is the most off the wall person that I know of in the world of traditional Catholicism.

  • Oh, Richard is so far off the wall that he's on the ceiling and halfway out the door at the same time.  He isn't even in the same league of nuts as the Dimond brothers, as difficult as that is to fathom.

I browsed his site for some time a while back.  It is poison.  The sad thing is, unless he is independently wealthy of his "apostalate" we can assume he's getting support to continue his work.  Maybe even directly from the Enemy.  Hopefully not from the faithful.  I have never met anyone who "follows" his "teachings" IRL or online.

  • Well....in five minutes on his website I learned that Pope Pius IX was an anti-Pope, Cajetan,St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Robert Bellarmine, Achbishop Lefebvre, and Msgr. Fenton are all notorious heretics, Vatican I was invalid....I'd say the poor guy is certifiable.

    Also, there's this gem:

    "“Encyclicals will be re
    added upon close
inspection of each encyclical for errors or corruption to the text. If an
    encyclical contains a bad,
sinful, or harmful law, it will be corrected and posted or not posted at all if it is beyond repair.
Encyclicals are not infallible in and of themselves. Hence the parts of encyclicals that are fallible
    can contain doctrinal erro
rs or bad, sinful, and harmful laws.”

The guy is basically his own magisterium.
