Tomorrow will be the Blood Moon of Spring which means this next Saturday is the Sabbath for Jews and the Pasch for the Temple.

Moonrise today was around 7:30 Daylight Savings Time, so tomorrow it will be around 7:45 or 8:00 pm.

Right now, the lunar eclipse is beginning.  A little piece of the left side of the moon is starting to look like it is being "bitten off" by something.........

It should reach its full effect in one hour from now........

Here's an interesting picture from a few years ago:

Is this what's supposed to happen tonight?

...but that's from a website that calls this a "total lunar eclipse" :

..but this is really a picture of a total SOLAR eclipse.

Also in the picture in the previous post above, the first little image of the moon on the left side is incorrect, since it is a duplicate of the little image that appears on the RIGHT side of the picture, with the earth's shadow on the upper right corner of the moon.  So there are two errors of fact on the same website:

You're welcome.  Sometimes when these things happen the sky is cloudy and you miss it.  But in my area there are no clouds tonight.  The past week has had two very cloudy nights.

There is a live streaming video of this through LAtimes.com from NASA.......

from Marshall Space Center in Alabama!!!
