For those who I have unjustly offended, please forgive me. Please disregard my posts where I lacked charity and you will see that I am actually a very nice person. Disregard my opinions on "NFP", "Baptism of Desire/Blood" and the changes made to the sacra

  • ...yes, because there are currently no well-established Traditional Catholic fora where you can discuss such topics freely without fear of getting censored/moderated/banned.

    (Yes, I'm being sarcastic)

Yes, Matthew, censorship is very important if used properly.  Take the posts last night.  Shouldnt there be some kind of moderator action  in those?  Or........does it just depend on who said them as to censorship?

  • That's not censorship -- that's maintaining public order and decency.

So many forums have owners/moderators who filter everything through their own point of view or opinions -- things they just "don't like" get deleted and forbidden.

I think that the handful of things deserving of moderation should be the EXCEPTION and a rare occurrence on any forum.

Unfortunately, I seem to be alone in my moderating philosophy. Most other fora are much more strict with moderation. On CathInfo you can post just about anything, as long as it's not overtly evil. I give people the benefit of the doubt.

Here we're talking about being able to post about the Crisis in the Church, or the Bilderburgers, the Illuminati, etc. Those things should always be allowed. I mean, what is this, Communist China? Choosing which topics are allowed and which ones are forbidden?

When I remove impure talk from the forum, I'm not just being capricious -- God has already forbidden such talk, and so I'm just acting for the common good. I really don't have a choice about removing such things (blasphemy also goes in this category)
