  • A visionary, well known to the writer of this posting, once during a prayer of the Rosary saw the adorable face of Jesus Christ. He was asleep. This brief vision occured during a Sunday afternoon of Winter 2011.

Later on the visionary, who lives alone an afar from Church, read Mass from the Missal of St. Joseph, and discovered to his surprise that the Gospel was about the tempest that made the disciples wake-up the Lord because everyone became afraid to perish.

The visionary does not recall even telling the bureaucrats priests who currently run the Church... perhaps the readers of this blog might understand that some serious storm is approaching.

A fact which I expect pleases busy priests to no end.
Stir up within Thy Church, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the Spirit with which blessed Josaphat, Thy Martyr and Bishop, was filled, when he laid down his life for his sheep: so that, through his intercession, we too may be moved and strengthen by the same Spir

  • "Bureaucrat priests". Alas, alas priests are "too busy to do business" nowaday. Post V2 priesthood is too busy doing social works. The churches, and even the cathedrals are left alone all week long. The religious services of the weeks, if you can suffer them, are left to lay people who distribute the pre-consecrated "body of Christ" to a few faithful. Those faithful grab the host and masticate it until sipping a rinse of the pre-consecrated "blood of Christ", and then rush to the parking lot, as if done with the chore of religious duties. The priests are no-where to be seen. Where are the priests? Who knows! fund-raising perhaps, or distributing cans of beans in order to qualify for the 401C3 tax-break.

In a Reno church, St Teresa of the Child Jesus "The Little Flower", a church architectured in the shape of a flying saucer, is a stone of the Ten Commendment offered by the local lodge, as if God had left us with only that! There is however, by God's mercy, a stained glass representing St. John Vianney. The Saint Patron of Parish Priest once at the pulpit said that if you are not a religious person you are damned. Alas this stained window is mere decoration here because except for a few women the church is empty and quiet. It is so quiet that it seems that no-one would dare praying a rosary out-loud; or reciting a litany; or kneel at the Stations of the Cross; or tenderly carress the foot of the Saint; or show a tear towards Our Lady of Guadalupe. The confession is offered once a week for about two hours, and alas the crowded is thin, and in a hurry. During the time of the Curé d' Ars, there was always a priest in cassock at all hours, so the people knew where to go at all hours, but now it is all gone.

Talk to a priest outside of platitudes, and either he dodges the subject, explains his obediences, or simply is without understanding.

The real priests of the tradition, outside of the big church ran like a corporation, are also not immune from the post V2 scourge. They too are too busy. They live out of a suit case on a tight schedule given by airlines, or are simply perturbed by long driving distances. How can they pray? How can we become religious? How can we love our God? How can we be enamoured with Our Blessed Mother? How will we be saved from the flames of hell?

  • Jack in the Box, please adopt an attitude of aloofness in regard to the novus ordites.  It's for the best.

  • I concure! Mea culpa! My attitude of aloofness toward the nova ordites is abject!

Many of the nova ordites love God to the tears. Many of the Nova Soto priests (and bishops) weep at what is imposed upon them. I do weep often.

Also, from a previous comment of yours (I thank you for it) the "visionary" exists. This visionary lives in hidding, and is rejected by many. Is it vanity to tell of a grace? No, it is "as a little girl showing the beautiful dress that her mother made her". This analogy was given by Our Lord to Sister Marie Consolata Betrone in explaining that "the mother of the little girl would be sad if the little girl did not say a word". Is it truly a gift for this soul to be a visionary? It seems to be horrible. Is it a special grace to have dreams, visions, apparitions, transportations. It appears to be nothing special.

What you allege is simply not true.  Some of the holiest priests I have ever known are NO.  Also from my personal experience anyway, having attended many weekday Masses that there is always a priest present to offer the Holy Sacrifice.  The people who attend these Masses are for the most part very serious about their faith and growing in holiness.  What you describe sounds like a mission Church that doesn't have a resident priest.

What do you use as a yardstick to measure their holiness?  Can you provide some examples without giving up any names, of course.

Firstly by their charity and dedication and their tireless efforts for and genuine concern for the salvation of souls.  Priests who go beyond what is normally expected of them even if it inconveniences them.  I personally know a priest that all it takes is a phone call and he was willing at the drop of a hat to attend to my needs.  He even volunteers to come to my house.  Of course I insist he doesn't need to do this.  Priests who don't sugar coat or tickle your ears by telling you what you want to hear but are not afraid to state the cold hard truths and give fraternal correction when necessary even to the point of yelling at you.  Yes I've been scolded in confession by a particular priest more than once.  This priest is not trying to be mean or overly critical, he genuinely cares.  How truly blessed I've been to have had these wonderful priests in my life.  God must surely love me a lot to be so kind and generous.

P.S.  I've also known some priests who are very meek and caring.  I imagine St. John Bosco was such a priest, one of my favorite saints.

  • Maybe you should tell your friend what Jesus told Josepha Menendez. Jesus said if I tell you to do something and your superiors tell you something else, then I want you to do what your superiors want you to do.

Remember what God said through Samual said to Saul "It is obedience that I want, not sacrifices."

yet another   unknwon vision by unknown visionary.....and all subjective.

    And, why is a priest-bureaucrat?

How could one pray the rosary and be asleep at the same time? or, was jesus asleep, the "visionary" awake? Why does Jesus in Heaven need to sleep? do angels? saints? IN heaven tehre is no beer, :laugh2: but we still need sleep?

Hiding? under threat? hit team out for her/him? hiding from what/who? Hiding in the head, perhaps? Exists where? Do you have to meet this person at night, remote outpost?
