  • Well, things are continuing to simmer at SGG in West Chester. Truly, it all seemed like Rome, yet it seems now like the Roman Empire without the "Holy" in it. Nero perhaps is soon to fiddle on his roof. He has already fought for the execution of a defenseless woman in Florida long ago.

    So, it is with such bittersweet sentiments I submit to you by candidate for traditional Catholic cartoon of the year, depicting the sad but gradual demise of the facade in West Chester knows as "St Gertrude the Great". To use a phrase from his past sarcasm "St Gertrude the Mediocre" still stands in need of abolishing. It would at least get a lot of people off of their duffs so they could do something about the continued corruption going on there. We should really pray the good priests who reside there wake up and smell the sulfur before Gomorrah goes up in smoke.

    So, alas I submit a cartoon emailed to me by a friend a day ago.
    I think it rather puts the Fr C authored calumnies and executory sentences in the proper perspective. What really matters is green days and nobody getting in your way...

    I bow to our humble adminstrator with a suggestion that our contest winner be named the funniest trad alive. Or how about a free McCafe at McDonald's? :confused1:

    And by the way, any resemblance between Gladius and Shaggy should be dismissed as purely coincidental...

    That is proximate to heresy, as we all know there is no such thing as a coincidence! :wink:

  • Touche'. I must have been reading too 70's hippy literature. The astrological sign does kinda goes with the Scooby gang, doesn't it?

    "Dude, it's like...groovy, Scooby. What's your sign, dog?" (or am I getting into the 90's now?...)  :roll-laugh2:

  • Scooby Doo converted to Islam? Man that's gonna make it tough on the guy. Perhaps their best known celebrity yet; on the other hand, an untouchable....

      :shocked::faint:

  •  Naturally my link was a dud.

    I had a recording of Cat Stevens' "Where do the Children Play" from Tea for the Tillerman.  It was set to an old Dr. Seuess animation.

    It made my own children literally weep.  And it worked very well with your theme.

    So if you know how to embed YouTube...

     Cat Stevens, who went to pre V2 catholic school in London converted to Islam, but my kids pray for his conversion because they love his music, and so do I.
