Why is there a "delete" button when you can't delete a post. :confused1:
-
I believe its for deleting other peoples posts miss.
-
It's the "stick your head in the sand" feature.

For awhile, I used it to remove posts I had already read so that I could pick up a thread where I left off. However, too often I wanted to go back and read something, and couldn't, so I stopped doing that.
I really wish we had a "View Lat Read" feature on this forum.

Be careful with the delete button. I inadvertently clicked on it once and was taken to the screen that said "You will never see this post by [So-and-So] again." Below those words was the link that said "Continue," just like it does when you are logging in or out. I did not want to "continue" so I clicked the back button on my browser, but the post was deleted for me nonetheless. Fortunately it was not a substantive post and I probably will not suffer much for missing it, but I am a little upset that I will never again have the pure, 100.00% Cathinfo experience. I wish there was a way to "undelete" posts. (By the way, this is also why I never use my "Ignore" feature. I want to see the whole forum, however unruly it may be in some of its members.)

I've only used the "delete" button three or four times, once by accident. I'll only delete a post if it's incredibly stupid, blasphemous, or slanderous.
