9:00 a.m. Mass and over to Aunt _____'s and this year I am not cooking...so I'll try to get a turkey on sale and do one at home. Our hostess will have Honey Baked Ham, which I dread, but a very fine table. I am very, very grateful to have so much family on both sides in the area.
There will be much ultra liberal talk about the election, there will be complaints about the Pope being too restrictive, I'm on the South Beach diet and dying for carbohydrates, somebody is bound to offend my traddy outlook. But, we lived away from our family for a few years and my perspective has changed. :geezer:
One of the out-of-towners became a Protestant something in love with Israel; he and his wife have some missionary thing with their beloved country. He's the one who used to finance his trips over the world by being a paid medical experiment. He loved SPINAL TAPS, for example.
It'll be all lace-curatin Irish and we'll have a nice time after my husband and I finish fighting about how to get there.
I hope everyone has a lovely Thanksgiving!
