  • I'm a new guy here... and a refugee froma couple of Novus Ordo dominated forums.

I'll readily admit that I've posted a couple of articles on this forum that not everyone agreed with, but unlike a couple of other (Novus Ordo) forums, none of the moderators here have ever interfered with my postings.

Gee, I thought the NO crowd was all about "acceptance and tolerance", and that mean ol' Traddies were just that... mean.

The truth of the matter is quite different.

    Again, thanks!

Welcome to the forum, Kevin!  This is a wonderful forum where you can learn a lot about Traditional Catholicism!  Be aware that we are not without our conflicting opinions!

  • It's not because it is SSPX or whatever.  It's because it is Matthew who owns and runs this forum.

  • We can even discuss the siri thesis, this place is great.
Much better than the other forums, semi-traditional forums included.

We have already discussed it, Thursday!  You can find it on older posts.

I very much like Matthew's "hands off" approach. After all, this is a discussion forum. As Peter Kreeft says, "truth trumps everything."

There are people who seek truth with an open mind, and those people benefit from hearing and weighing all sides. And they are the people that matter when it comes to "discussion." The others are not really "discussing" anything - just giving their opinions. I think it's apparent when someone is just giving their opinion, and have made their opinion, and holding to it, more important than anything else, even when the truth starts to expose it. You see that in the bias on many sites and in many moderators - but not here.

I think you often see some genuine dialogue here, even when it gets "nasty." And a big part of the reason is Matthew doesn't shut discussion down when a particular bias is being threatened.

Apoc 17:17 For God hath given into their hearts to do that which pleaseth him: that they give their kingdom to the beast, till the words of God be fulfilled.
