    • Dear Matthew,
    Thank you for letting me post so liberally over the past 3 years. I appreciated the Cathinfo forum very much. Now considering recent events, I realize it's time to move on. There always seems a point of compromise that I find difficult... certainly not questioning your authority but every action has a reaction. Pretty much the same thing illicited a similar reaction from me at "Angel Queen" back in the day. It is what it is.

    That was my first thought, but she’s pro-Trump, so she couldn’t have shared the views of Mark79/Klas and been upset by their banning.
    And Matthew allows free reign to sedes here, with whom she identifies.
    So is she just mad that CI isn’t even MORE liberal in the free-for-all (ie., nobody should get banned, ever)?
    Ps: I’m not saying they should have been banned (for the record, I agree with them about Trump), just disagreeing with the idea nobody should ever be banned.
    It would be nice if she would come back for one last clarifying post of what her specific grievances were.

    • Because Mark and Klas kept attacking and harassing people.

    With Mark, he seemed to regress rather quickly after being told NOT to harass Poche.

    I don't like Poche as a user, but it got to be a bit too much. If he wants to ban Poche, then he can start his own forum.

    I think we need MORE individuals who can just acknowledge that this group of people isn't a good fit for them and move on without causing a scene.
    If a CathInfo member can't get along with Matthew -- the real person, for better or worse -- they either have to avoid him or just admit that this corner of the internet isn't for them and move on.

    Related to this ... Did you see my post about the hide feature? I think it might have been in a now-deleted thread. The feature works as well as expected for me. I don't know if it's turned on for everyone or not.

    Someone could theoretically be pro Trump but still be strongly for allowing free speech on the topic.

    BTW I will say, while forums are obviously a different story, from a political/national standpoint I believe in the freedom of political speech, though not the freedom to speak against the Church or the Family.  Now maybe I'm wrong about that, but I'm just preempting the inevitable "Free speech isn't a Catholic view." I mean again I agree when it comes to attacking the faith or the family.
