I have many favorites priests for different reasons, but I will talk about Father Michael Oswalt because he was the priest that woke up one morning very early and rushed to my home when he was called by one of my adult children because my husband was on his deathbed.
My husband was alert but in great distress with breathing. He was dying. Father Oswalt came so fast he didn't even turn off his head lights, he prayed the prayers of the dying, encouraged all of us who were present to begin the rosary of which one of my grandsons lead us in the 15 decades rosary. (he passed away during this time) We finished the rosary after his death. Father Oswalt was by his side as he took his last breath and he remained there to help me accept God's Will.
Just the priest being present there was a great gift from God.
My husband received everything possible including the Apostolic Blessing and was alert enough to say the name of Jesus at the appropriate time when the blessing was administered.
Here is a link for those who have not heard about this priest who at one time was an "ordained" novus priest, but had the humility to understand that he was not a priest at all and left the novus ordor to correct his ordination.
