If I want to get rid of the Rich Text formatting, I paste it into Notepad first and then copy-paste it from there into CathInfo.

The very first button in the toolbar of the rich text editor switches to plain text editing.

I sometimes copy text and post. When previewed it can all come out in many different sizes, from tiny to HUGE.

Above the edit-field and below the smileys there are several buttons. Press the first one of them (the upper left one) to have the text appear as shown above in the CODE-box. Then change the numbers in the size-tags.

E.g.
