I will soon be taking a break from CatholicInfo. I don't want to leave, but I have alot going on and therefore won't be able to post for a while. How long will I be gone? I honestly don't know. I would say a few weeks, but I can't give an exact estimate as to when I will return. I'm posting this thread because I don't want other people to start wondering where I am should I be gone longer than expected. Afterall, you know the rule on CatholicInfo. If you're a frequent poster like I am, you can't just leave without giving a good explanation. :)
I will still be online today and tomorrow but afterwards will not be online. So if I get any PMs from anyone during that time I won't be able to answer them until I get back. I'd like to thank Matthew for doing a good job running this forum. I enjoy posting here and have no desire to go elsewhere. I will try to come back as soon as I can. I also appreciate any and all prayers, as things have been crazy for me the last month or so.
Thank you and God Bless.

SS, may God bless your journey wherever you may go and hope to see you back here soon.
-
Thanks, friend! I definitely plan to come back, it's just a matter of when.
-
Sad to see you go, SS. We'll be awaiting your return!
-
What accounts for the craziness? Anything you want to talk about?
-
I would like to ask why SS believes Formosus to be a possible :confused1: anti-pope.
-
come back soon ss!
-
We'll be waiting SS- best of luck!

Ciao baby
-
Ciao baby? Should I take that as a kind farewell or insult, roscoe?

It's not really something I want to talk about. It's personal. I can only say that because of it I won't have time to post for a while but that I should be back in a few weeks, hopefully.
Anyway, thanks everyone for your generous and kind respones. I appreciate it. I'm going to miss CatholicInfo.

What does that have to do with my situation or this thread?
Do some research on him and you'll find out why I think he was an anti-pope.
-
I hope you get it sorted out.
-
Come back soon SS!

Yeah, never mind. I may as well tell you what my "personal situation" was rather than just saying "Oh, it didn't happen so I'm back".
I was supposed to have an operation done today but it was delayed for atleast several weeks. It was an absolute joke. They made me waste my time to go down there, get all this stuff done to me, and about 15 minutes before I was supposed to have it done the doctor comes in and says "Well, we don't want to do it today because we've gotten reports from other hospitals that the pain medicine isn't 100% safe and we don't have any other pain medication that has been tested". It was one of the strangest things that has ever happened to me. So if I'm offline in a month or so, you'll know why. Atleast on the bright side I get to remain on CatholicInfo a little while longer. And I must accept this as God's Will. I'm sure He wouldn't want me to have surgery done if the doctors didn't know what to expect from the pain medication.
Thanks again for the responses, everybody.

Sorry you wont be getting what you need done, but it's good we'll be having you around. Prayers that your surgery will go well when your ready for it.
-
Thanks, CS. I greatly appreciate it. I'll keep you in my prayers, too.
God Bless.
-
glad you be around ss!
why was it strange experience? because they ran out of pain medication?
-
No, they had gotten reports from two other hospitals that the epidural (spelling?) had caused paralysis in two cases. However, there has always been the rare possibility of that happening. They were not set up to use any other form of pain medication and didn't know if they'd be able to properly manage my pain. Hospitals are supposed to have a back-up plan but they didn't have one. The doctor said he would "do some research" and until then the surgery would be delayed. He didn't even give me a date for when it would done, he just said "sometime this summer". It is very frustrating. But I know it's best I didn't have it done yesterday considering they have yet to figure out how to properly use anything besides an epidural for pain management. It was strange because I was just 10 or 15 minutes from having surgery and they waited until then to tell me. But I'll just have to wait a little longer.

epidural is correct.
do you have a lot of experience in hospitals, ss?
-
Not really, herbert. My only previous surgery was having my tonsils removed, and that was when I was a kid.
-
Well, here we go again. :jester:
My surgery was re-scheduled for tomorrow. I'll be in the hospital for about a week, and I'm sure I won't feel like doing much when I first get home so it could be a while before I return to CatholicInfo (as long as it's not cancelled again like last time). But I will try to resume posting again as soon as possible. I appreciate any and all prayers. Thanks again to Matthew and Mater for letting me post here and running an awesome Traditional Catholic forum.
God Bless.

SS,
Don't go too far from this part of the pasture.
Did you ever hear about that little sheep who asked Jesus for a new cross? Well, Jesus brought him into a room filled with different sized crosses. The little sheep tried out many - small ones, feathery ones, large strong looking ones, etc. He didn't like any of them. Finally, he saw one that was perfect for him. It fit on his back just right. As he left he looked at it more carefully and saw that it was the same cross he was carrying before entering the room.
Hang in there with your trouble's.
Lots of prayers from
the smart sheep

My Our Lord be with you, SpiritusSanctus. I'm including your matter into my rosary.

My Our Lord be with you...

Don't know how roscoe got off my ignore button. Guess because I was logged off. I certainly didn't get out of the hospital to read the posts of a pot smoker.
