Taking a break

  • I will soon be taking a break from CatholicInfo. I don't want to leave, but I have alot going on and therefore won't be able to post for a while. How long will I be gone? I honestly don't know. I would say a few weeks, but I can't give an exact estimate as to when I will return. I'm posting this thread because I don't want other people to start wondering where I am should I be gone longer than expected. Afterall, you know the rule on CatholicInfo. If you're a frequent poster like I am, you can't just leave without giving a good explanation. :)

I will still be online today and tomorrow but afterwards will not be online. So if I get any PMs from anyone during that time I won't be able to answer them until I get back. I'd like to thank Matthew for doing a good job running this forum. I enjoy posting here and have no desire to go elsewhere. I will try to come back as soon as I can. I also appreciate any and all prayers, as things have been crazy for me the last month or so.

    Thank you and God Bless.

  • What accounts for the craziness?  Anything you want to talk about?
Readers: Please IGNORE all my postings here. I was a recent convert and fell into errors, even heresy for which hopefully my ignorance excuses. These include rejecting the "rhythm method," rejecting the idea of "implicit faith," and being brieflfy quasi-Jansenist. I also posted occasions of sins and links to occasions of sin, not understanding the concept much at the time, so do not follow my links.

It's not really something I want to talk about. It's personal. I can only say that because of it I won't have time to post for a while but that I should be back in a few weeks, hopefully.

Anyway, thanks everyone for your generous and kind respones. I appreciate it. I'm going to miss CatholicInfo.

What does that have to do with my situation or this thread?

Do some research on him and you'll find out why I think he was an anti-pope.

  • Yeah, never mind. I may as well tell you what my "personal situation" was rather than just saying "Oh, it didn't happen so I'm back".

I was supposed to have an operation done today but it was delayed for atleast several weeks. It was an absolute joke. They made me waste my time to go down there, get all this stuff done to me, and about 15 minutes before I was supposed to have it done the doctor comes in and says "Well, we don't want to do it today because we've gotten reports from other hospitals that the pain medicine isn't 100% safe and we don't have any other pain medication that has been tested". It was one of the strangest things that has ever happened to me. So if I'm offline in a month or so, you'll know why. Atleast on the bright side I get to remain on CatholicInfo a little while longer. And I must accept this as God's Will. I'm sure He wouldn't want me to have surgery done if the doctors didn't know what to expect from the pain medication.

Thanks again for the responses, everybody.
