  • Why  “Republicans” allow  liberals to control  the Supreme Court

    Short answer:
because many of them are liberals  themselves..

    1.                    If it were not for spineless Republicans (RINOs), America could have had much better decisions than the ones we've seen the last several years from the Supreme Court. We would not now have the monstrosity known as Obamacare (thank you, Justice Roberts, King of the RINOs).
    2.                    The RINOs in Congress had to be “nice” and let liberals Kagan and Sottomeyer get through the nomination process to  become Sup Ct justices. So: Why didn't the Rs do to those nominees what is now being done to Gorsuch?
    3.                    That said, Gorsuch is likely just another RINO himself. If I were in the Senate, I would (in accordance with what I know or strongly suspect about him at this time) vote against him. I don't think he cares about the unborn, or how hideously un-Constitutional Roe v Wade is..
    4.                    The Ds are amoral and ruthless.
    5.                    RINOs are dishonest, perfidious wimps.
    6.                     Justice Suter and others now on the Sup Ct were chosen by a “Republican” president, but  once on the Court turned lib (or virtual lib).
    7.                    So now we have these Constitution-defying decisions coming down from the Sup Ct that We the People do not “appreciate,” yet  have to live with... and the unborn have to die with...
    8.                    They speak with forked tongue
    9.                    These RINOs make me sick. And there are far more of them in DC than there are real Republiicans. Are Freedom Caucus members the only true Republicans there? Some of us tend to think so.
    10.                 RINOs would rather—apparently—be seen as being “civil” or “nice” to the Democrats—PLEASE!—than make a stand  for truth, or the law, or the US Constitution (which they swore to uphold)..  “Being nice” (which term tells us absolutely nothing) is more important than the Constitution
    11.                 Being nice is not important, however, to the ruthless Democrats. They are never “nice”—especially to young children (if you know what I mean).
    12.                 Vote the Ds and RINOs OUT!  (a process that happily has already begun, as the Ds have recently lost 1000 seats nationwide! Keep fighting on... til the beast is gone)
    13.                 Some of these anti-We-the-People-anti-Constitution folks have been in Congress so long, they have morphed into... ummm..  words fail (civilized ones, anyhow), but suffice it to say they've gotten to the point they can no longer relate to real people—the nobodies who pay their ridiculous salaries.  We the People are constantly getting screwed over by these people.
    14.                 I don't get  enraged about much of anything anymore.. I've  heard that being chronically angry can have  adverse health affects. However,  the real reason I try to abstain from excess anger is because these days, I am  too cynical to bother
    15.                 But these *&^%$ RINOs make me  angry.
    16.                 What's that saying? If you aren't angry, you're not paying attention
    17.                 Please encourage true Republicans you (hopefully) know to run for office. The good ones are usually not overly aggressive, or ambitious, except for the cause of this country's welfare
    18.                 Why don't we conservatives adopt a few of the Democrats' tactics, as in: fight fire with fire?  Meaning: why aren't we more on offense than defense vis a vis the opposing party? (No, I do not mean that we should adopt such Dem tactics as:  lying)
    19.                 Don't be a goat... or a goat-feeder (see statements by Jesus in the Bible RE separating the sheep from goats)
    20.                 A “goat-feeder” is someone who is “nice” (what a worthless word that is) to people in power who do not deserve it  those who abuse their power and are (intentionally or otherwise; it hardly matters) destroying our  country

  • unbelievable... that so called Rs actually PRIDE THEMSELVES on letting Obama get his Sup Ct picks!!

and then (it gets worse) they actually expect the Demon-crats to reciprocate and nominate R picks? ha ha.. that's rather funny.. or would be if it weren't so disgusting

I would get really ticked off thinking about this... but what good would that do?

these idiots couldn't care less about We the Voters

    except at election time...

oh, yeh... at election time, act like they "care" about us...but it is, sigh, just that... an act

  • why do the Republicans allow the Democrats to do...  a lot of things

they are wimpy, it seems. Rand Paul speaks out against things a lot of Rs and Ds favor. So I would not call Rand a wimp, and Ted Cruz, ditto and a few others. But most of them just let the Dems walk all over them.

If Hillary had been prosecuted, the Dems would not have been emboldened. Now they think (and are probably totally right to think) they can get away with anything

  • I wonder how long the general public will continue to think there is a differnce between the two parties. They are nothing more than different rides to the same destination.

THIS is the answer. Neither political party believes in anything other than making money for themselves.

  • When we get reforms in campaign finance that don't allow for oligarchs and big business to run this country, you'll get what you want and American politics will have some sanity.

  • Actually the Supreme Court justice is not required to follow any particular ideology once he has been confirmed.

Are you dense? They're appointed as either conservative (like Neil Gorsuch, Clarence Thomas, etc.) or liberal (Merrick Garland, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, etc.).
You have the occasional middle voice in Anthony Kennedy (who was the ruling voice in Obergefell v. Hodges, despite being a "Republican" and a "Catholic"), but with Gorsuch,it is generally a 5-4 conservative split.
