    • A Backhand for the Bishop


    The unbridled anger of the former General Vicar of Chur, Canon Andreas Rellstab,  against his Bishop is  still not extinguished.

    (kreuz.net)  With much protest Canon Andreas Rellstab (46) submitted his resignation as regional General Vicar of the Diocese of Chur.

    He joined his dismissal with substantial attacks against Bishop Vitus Huonder of Church and let the anti-Church media complained bitterly.

    Since July 2011 the Canon has been the administrator in the 3200 population village of Zizers -- 10 km from Chur.

    Additionally he writing his Doctorate in the Old Liberal faculty in the in Swiss Freiburg on the subject of nattering Pastoral Theology.

    • It's basically the ongoing saga of one of the only traditional Bishops in the German speaking countries.  

    He shows no signs of giving up and continues to promote traditional practices.

    Here, he gives the symbolic slap to the cheek in the old rite.  It's never been supressed.  This canon, who was forced to resign from his post as the Vicar General, is shocked that the Bishop is "mixing Rites".  The Swiss press doesn't care about whether the accusations are valid, all they care about is smearing Bishop Huonder.

    It also says that he's changed the "words of institution".  I'm assuming that means that he says, "for many" and not "for all".

    Despite Rome's desire, the German Bishops have not revised the words of institution the way Rome wants it.  The German Bishops are disobedient in most things.
