Justice Delayed is Justice Denied
When we pray in front of an abortion center in the USA, we take it for granted that no one will arrest us and put us in prison.
Our neighbor to the north in the country of Canada 16 years ago placed a “TEMPORARY” injunction around two abortion clinics in Ontario.
As a result, it is unlawful to counsel women against having an abortion in Ontario, Canada at these two abortion clinics.
A sixteen year delay by the Ontario government to proceed to trial with this injunction has resulted in Linda Gibbons remaining in custody for 8 years. Linda Gibbons rightfully wants to be free to petition in front of the abortion clinic that precipitated her arrest.
Freedom taken away from one individual in North America is freedom taken away from everyone. Let us address this injustice of freedom of conscience as we mount an international campaign on behalf of Linda Gibbons and Mary Wagner.
As we prepare for Christmas, let us support those who are imprisoned on matters of conscience by writing to the attorney general of Ontario, Canada. It is important to remind government officials that women who have abortions are plagued with high rates of substance abuse, anxiety, sleep disorders, suicidal thoughts, psychiatric illness, relationship problems, and risk-taking behavior.
There are at least 121 statistically significant studies
reporting that women with prior induced abortions have
higher risk of preterm delivery compared to women with
zero prior induced abortions.
