How did your week go? What have you got planned for this week? If you are in the North, are you snowed-in?

I'm in sunny Texas.  :cowboy:

HEY!! DON'T ALL TALK AT ONCE, Y'ALL!!!

 :dancing:

Well, I spent a quiet Sunday, still nursing this cold that has settled into bronchitis. Definitely better, but my throat is still constricted so that I cannot sing carols, which I love to do...

especially the carols we sang so much as children that they are among the few tunes I really know. Like this one, the one with the long "Gloria" chorus:

One time I had a bit too much wine preparing for a recital and added several extra "oooooria" to the end... fortunately that was when I was younger and I still could hit those notes.... After I got dentures I lost a lot of the soprano.

Now this is still one of my favorites when alone...

Although a few weeks ago when I was still staying in the women's dorm over at the Salvation Army, we got to singing among ourselves and I suddenly had a minute when I could hit the chorus right.  We all were surprised, it was a lovely time, about a half dozen of us sitting among the bunks before lights-out....

"Les Anges Dans Nos Campagnes" or "The Angels In Our Fields"....This will always be my favorite carol.

Bronchitis - that is horrible. When my Granny got bronchitis, she would cough every 5 minutes all night long - and it lasted for 3 weeks. She always got bronchitis right after a cold.

Why were you staying at the Salvation Army?
