  • How reliable to you judge the current theology degrees offered by modern colleges, in particular of colleges under the leadership of the conciliar church.

I have been considering going into this area in a few years and only have available to me colleges which are either secular or under conciliar administration.

  • I have heard, though I do not know from experience, that if you pursue a degree in theology at a "Catholic" university you are more likely to learn modernist heresies than the true faith.
    R.I.P.
Please pray for the repose of my soul.

Not here, you could work as a chaplain ( in prisons and hospitals).

Unless you are ordained, you can't do much for them, in the way of sacraments.

I request no chaplain when I'm in the hospital, if I don't a short haired woman in a pantsuit will come and offer me "communion" from her pocket.

  • When those classes are not heretical, they're completely useless.  I took a graduate class at The Catholic University of America in the Theology of St. Thomas Aquinas from a relatively orthodox priest.  I learned more at the SSPX seminary in two weeks than I did that entire semester.  I took a number of undergraduate theology classes at Loyola University of Chicago, and they were absolutely steeped in heresy; when they weren't, you learned next to nothing.  I kid you not that I knew a guy who had a Masters in Theology from Loyola who literally didn't know who St. Thomas Aquinas was.  I had to tell him about St. Thomas.

Don't do it. Don't even consider it. The only thing you can rely on is that you will be taught liberal and heretical theology.

Years ago, I knew a staunch NOer poster who got his Master of Divinity at a NO catholic college who called himself Rev1222 (after the Scripture verse "Revelations 12:22" - [not sure of the actual ch and vs]).

How Catholic was his education to have him call himself the protestant "Rev" when Catholics have always called the last book of the bible Apocalypse?

I know this is not a major big deal for Catholics to call the last book "Revelations", but in this day and age it should be - and for one who has a Master's degree from a "catholic" institution to call himself "Rev" shows what he learned is NO liberal theology.

Aside from the fact that the Church really started at V2 and that no matter what was taught or who taught it prior to V2 was all wiped away by V2. This is what he learned in his NO theology courses.

I could go on about how you will be taught twisted teachings  designed for indoctrination into humanism and liberalism. You will learn gender neutrality, the importance of religious indifference, the necessity of accepting everything anti-Catholic  and on and on ad nausem - that LAST thing they want to teach anyone is Catholic Theology.

If you understand what is going on in this world, you will believe this and you will not even consider taking any theology course from any secular or NO institution.

Well, the screen name had to be something else.  There's only 18 verses in the twelfth chapter of the Apocalypse of St. John.  I'm pretty sure that's the case even in Novus Ordo and Protestant bibles though we no longer have any of those in the house so I can't really check.

Yes but would it be the same in your country as it is in mine?
Only one way to find out.

Well you'll only join the rest of the NOers in their eccuмaniac ways after they teach you their theology - what makes you think you can go to for modernist theology training and come out another Aquinas any way?

  • I have a Master of Divinity degree.  In my experience, one is taught and exposed to a lot of bad ideas when studying theology at a mainstream college.  I would not recommend it.  I expect it to be harmful to your faith.

  • Don't do it.

I come across a regular poster on a political website who said once he went to Maynooth (Ireland) learning Theology, he argues for ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs and abortion (says that he knows the baby is human but that it is only a potential human!!!).  He has very intelligent but so far away from the truth.

Any theology courses are steeped in anti Catholicism.  Praying at the moment for a seminarian in NO seminary hoping he will not get destroyed.
