Over at the blog, I discuss Bishop Slattery's plan for countering the Satanic Black Mass that is to be held at the Civic Center in Oklahoma City.

This atrocity must be countered. The real and tangible threat of Satan is growing, here in the middle of the country.

So, it seems that the complacence, ignorance, and relativism of my fellow countrymen has allowed the Prince of Darkness to set up shop in Oklahoma, here in the very heart of the United States.

First, an inept Oklahoma state government bungled their way into allowing a statue of Lucifer to soon be placed at our capitol. And now, once again in the very public square of our state, stolen property from the Catholic Church will be publicly vandalized and desecrated by a registered sex offender with the official approval of the moral relativists running our tax-funded Oklahoma City Civic Center. Afraid to offend the Evil One and his minions, managers of the civic Center will weakly acquiesce as Satan places yet another foothold in Oklahoma’s capital.

And so, what does it matter if another religion makes a public spectacle, namely with stolen Church property? How does this bother anyone? Well, in this time that we live where Christians are slaughtered in diverse places, the long-term outcome is not hard to imagine.

One day, the time will come when Satan shall exercise his temporal power in the West. Christians will become persecuted, attacked, and killed—just as they are in China, Iraq, Nigeria, Lebanon, and many other less reported locales.

The last thing the remaining good people of America—and specifically Oklahoma—should want is to have Satan Central in the middle of our territory. Shrines to evil such as we are witnessing in Oklahoma City do more than just generate controversy and press. It invites an evil clientele who is filled with malice and hate towards all that is good.

Openly allowing this kind of evil in our homeland will release untold numbers of demons in the region.

Laity can participate in fighting this spiritual battle. Prayer can work. Bishop Slattery of the Tulsa diocese has put forth his plan to combat this spreading evil, and we act this Wednesday.

A letter from Bishop Slattery
Countering with Prayer the proposed Black Mass in Oklahoma City

My Dear People:

As has been widely reported, a Satanic Black Mass has been scheduled for September 21 in Oklahoma City’s Civic Center. As a part of Satanic worship, a Black Mass attempts to invert the action and meaning of the Eucharist in order to mock Christ’s sacrifice and worship Satan through an orgiastic ritual of pain and perversion. It blasphemes everything which we hold as sacred and redemptive; and the spiritual dangers it poses ought not be dismissed. Since the Civic Center has not responded positively to the pleas of the Archbishop of Oklahoma City not to host this event in a tax-payer supported public venue, I am asking the faithful Catholics in the Diocese of Tulsa to fight this blasphemy through prayer and fasting:

Please keep the nine days prior to the Feast of the Assumption as an extraordinary period of prayer and penance. I am asking every Catholic to abstain from all meat and meat products from August 6 through the 14th. I am also asking that you consecrate your hunger with a daily recitation of a decade of the rosary and the familiar Prayer to Saint Michael. Printed copies of these prayers are available in the bulletin and at the entrances of the church. Be strong and encourage your friends to also be strong.

On Assumption Day, August 15th, we will ask Our Lady on her Feast, to intercede for us and protect us. On that day I in the Cathedral, and every priest in his own parish, will pray a special prayer written by Pope Leo XIII for the defense of the Church against the attack of the Enemy and his apostate angels.

Should these prayers and this period of fasting not effect the cancellation of this event, then I will ask every priest in the Diocese to conduct a Eucharistic Holy Hour on September 21 at the same time (7:00 p.m.) as this profanity is being celebrated in Oklahoma City. Wherever possible, I ask that Eucharistic Processions - especially outdoor processions - be arranged as part of these holy hours. Let us give a public witness to our faith in the Eucharist which is being so profoundly mocked and ridiculed by this event.

From the snares of the devil, deliver us, O Lord!

Let us take up a nine day fast from meat, and pray the rosary and prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel every day that you abstain. Take note of Assumption Day, and if you are in the area, attend Holy Family Cathedral on the 15th of August.

Tell everyone you know. You, the laity—and even you Protestants—have been waiting for something you can do to directly counter this evil that is spreading in our land. This is what you do. This period of fasting and prayer is our direct assault.

If you want to be relevant, you will take up this fast. If you fall into complacency like everyone else, you can expect the number of demonic possessions to start rising in Oklahoma.

In the meantime, I've come up with 7 tangible dangers to having a ritual like this being said in a state-funded public venue.

This is an act of blasphemy against a sizeable portion of the populace utilizing a stolen piece of property—the Host. It is almost as if the government will now allow theft of Catholic property by giving a nod to this.

5. This will invite and bring forth demons. Evil will be able to move more freely here in my locale.

6. This will embolden the enemies of Christ in this region.

7. Most importantly, this will be a desecration of Jesus Christ's body. Some will say tongue-in-cheek, "Oh, they aren't using a real Host." I respond: How do you know? Myself, if I see someone try to abuse the Eucharist in my presence, I get physical. We should protect Christ when He is vulnerable.

Of the black mass long before the diocese. I hope she didn't my info to them. Fr Gruner had it posted and so did the Catholic League. You should put pressure on your governor who was on fox channel

And long before these dioceses our ancestors, including my own family ( priests and nuns) took action. If it wasn't for them there would be any Catholicism in the USA. They burned crosses on my families lawn as my family had Mass secretly in their home.

I noticed that the bishop never mentions the statue. Where are the diocesan
Lawyers ??? This is why ecuмenicism and religious liberty are sins because it puts all religions as equal.

The diocese can do better. Where are the other bishops? And cardinal Dolan.

It is a disgrace that Oklahoma would allow a sex offender put a statue of satan up and to book an event at the civic center. This attacks the Catholic Church.
It wouldn't be happening if it was attacking the Jєωιѕн faith.

And where are the baptists, Methodists, Lutherans and bible churches??

I have been informed by a reliable source that the ordinary bishop of Tulsa, Oklahoma, is requesting of all Catholics in the world to join his diocese in prayer and fasting for the intention of the CANCELLATION of a public and notorious SATANIC BLACK MASS which has been scheduled for September 21st at the CIVIC CENTER in Oklahoma City.

Bishop Slattery (a good Irish name!) is making this open request for prayers and penance, and any time that a bishop does such a thing it deserves wide distribution, for this is what will save us from the wrath of God, provided that such requests are made and that we voluntarily comply with them.

Bishop Slattery (may God bless him) asks that from August 6th (today) through August 14th (the vigil of the Assumption), that we would ABSTAIN from all flesh meat in a spirit of penance, that we pray our daily Rosary with this added intention, and that BEFORE EACH DECADE, we would please add the words:

"MAY CHRIST OUR LORD DELIVER US FROM EVIL

AND DEFEND US AGAINST THIS PRESENT DANGER"

At the end of our Rosary, he is asking that we be sure to pray the St. Michael prayer, which is something that most of us already do anyway:

Saint Michael, Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil; may God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust down into hell satan and all the other wicked spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

On August 15th, the Feast of the Assumption body and soul of Our Blessed Mother into heaven, this upstanding bishop has announced that he will publicly recite the LONG VERSION of the Leonine Prayer to St. Michael. (Perhaps another member knows where that is found and can post it here?)

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but this might be the first time since before Vatican II that this Long Form Prayer of Pope Leo XIII (of happy memory) has been publicly made by a bishop anywhere in the world. It seems to me that he deserves our meet appreciation for this gesture, and for his announcing it in advance.

Someone said that an SSPX chapel somewhere has also announced this.

Now I see in the post by Laramie Hirsch that Bishop Slattery is asking for Catholics to "pray a decade every day," when I had heard it is a Rosary he was talking about. We shouldn't let this discourage us. Adding the words, "May Christ Our Lord deliver us from evil and defend us from this present danger," is a good thing to include after the announcement of the mystery name and before the Our Father.

Also keep in mind that there is no indulgence for praying a decade of the Rosary, but there are many indulgences that apply to the whole 5-decade Rosary. All of those plus a few more apply to a 15 decade Rosary. But 0 (zero) apply to just one decade (other than for the individual prayers, Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be -- there is no indulgence for the Fatima Decade prayer, O my Jesus forgive us our sins..., nor for this "May Christ Our Lord..."). The local bishop has no power to grant indulgences; that has to come from the Pope, and there have been no such regular indulgences granted since Pope Pius XII.

These are good points, Viva.

My friend told me that there have been letters and phone calls and visitors complaining to the local OK City government about this all along, and the city council and Mayor's office are not responding to their complaints; instead, the concerned citizens are told that because of religious liberty and non-discrimination laws, that since a monument to the Ten Commandments is allowed on public display, then there can be no opposition to another viewpoint, an alternative religion, a different opinion, as it were, in our egalitarian and "evolved" society.

My source suspects that the real reason is traceable to MONEY, and that someone has "paid off" a key member of the city council to the effect that this legalism of equality of religions is being held up as a cause to avoid lawsuits for religious discrimination.

In any case, +Slattery's request for penance and prayer is very good, and we should all comply with this in the unity of the Catholic Faith, REGARDLESS of the fact that this bishop offers the NovusOrdo liturgy and/or whether he was consecrated or ordained under the "new rite" as sedes are obviously apt to whine about. When it comes to serious battle we have to set aside such differences if we are going to form a united front against the devil, otherwise the devil divides our forces, conquers our position, and laughs about it "all the way to the bank."

" I'm sick of hearing about this 'Consecrated Host,'" Adam Daniels, of the organization, the Dakhma of Angra Mainyu, wrote in an emailed response to questions from Aleteia. "As my understudy has told other Catholic Inquisitors, the Eucharist was mailed to us by [a] friend. That is all I'm going to say about how it was attained [sic]. My question is, why is a piece of bread that some man said some words over so sacred?"

Daniels, who uses the title Dastur—the term for Zoroastrian high priest—said in a subsequent email today that "As far as I know, the host mailed to me is consecrated."

He confirmed that the black mass that is generating controversy in Oklahoma City and beyond, will go forward as planned on Sept. 21.

"The abridged Black Mass (from the Satanic Rituals by [Anton] LaVey) will take place," he said. "Then The Choke [a local band] will perform. After that, Matthew Garman will have a Satanic (Ahrimanic) Exorcism done [which purports to remove the Holy Spirit from him]. Kelsey [Daniels] and I will be presiding over this rite. Before each ritual I will lecture on the purpose and point of each ritual as it pertains to the Ahrimanic [Satanic] Faith."

He added: "I'm renting a small space one time a year to educate the public about my religion. This is protected by my First Amendment Right as a citizen of the United States, not a brainwashed sheep of the Catholic Empire."

The event is to take place in a 92-seat theatre in the civic center. Daniels said no city official has asked him to reconsider the event, in light of protests by local Catholics, led by Archbishop Paul S. Coakley of Oklahoma City. "Their [sic] are some who are quite tickled at all of this."

Archbishop Coakley is calling on Catholics to storm heaven with prayers so that the black mass will be cancelled.

“In spite of repeated requests, there has been no indication that the City intends to prevent this event from taking place,” Archbishop Coakley wrote in a letter to the people of the archdiocese this week. "I have raised my concerns with city officials and pointed out how deeply offensive this proposed sacrilegious act is to Christians and especially to the more than 250,000 Catholics who live in Oklahoma.”

In the letter, dated Aug. 4, the Memorial of St. John Vianney, the archbishop said he is concerned about “dark powers” that the performance of a black mass would invite into the community “and the spiritual danger that this poses to all who are involved in it, directly or indirectly.” Though the event is being promoted merely as “some sort of dark entertainment, this Satanic ritual is deadly serious,” he said. “It is a blasphemous and obscene inversion of the Catholic Mass. Using a consecrated Host obtained illicitly from a Catholic church and desecrating it in the vilest ways imaginable, the practitioners offer it in sacrifice to Satan.”

Making “black masses” open to the public exposes people to serious evil, an exorcist warned in an interview with Aleteia after news of the Oklahoma City event was first known. “You cannot attend such an event—even if one does so merely out of curiosity, and not with any firm desire to worship Satan—without being adversely affected. The mere fact that this black mass in Oklahoma City will be public lends it a certain legitimacy, and I suspect that some people will go simply to be entertained. What they may not realize immediately is that simply by going, they will open themselves to the power of the demonic.”

In his letter, Archbishop Coakley called on Catholics of the archdiocese to intensify prayer in the weeks leading up to the event, scheduled for the Oklahoma City Civic Center Music Hall. Beginning Aug. 6, the feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, and continuing through the Feast of the Archangels, Sept. 29, the conclusion of each Mass in the archdiocese will include the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel, which, prior to the liturgical reforms of the late 1960s, was recited after every Mass.

You can be certain the use of the word "attained" was not a mistake. These agents of the devils themselves habitually converse amongst themselves using such language, and therefore this word was employed out of HABIT of having used "attained" in this very context. It was their goal to achieve the acquisition of the consecrated host, make no mistake about it.

Notice too, the use of "my understudy" in this paragraph. You will not find any real witch or warlock willing to handle the consecrated host, because if they are a real agent of satan, they will be physically incapable of being in the Presence of the ONE WHO IS. Therefore, some "understudy" will do the physical deeds with the host.

There is no point of discussing this with a sedevacantist, because if the host was consecrated by any NovusOrdo priest the sede will assert that it's not valid. When the satanists assure them otherwise, the sedes would huff that satanists don't know what they're talking about, etc.

While it is true that the agents of the devil PREFER to obtain hosts from Canonized Latin Masses, they are not exclusive on this matter and will often go ahead with hosts from NovusOrdo liturgies, however, sometimes a witch or warlock judges some particular host to have been invalidly consecrated.

Notice the article doesn't explain whether Garman has been baptized with water and the Holy Ghost (and would therefore be apostate), or whether he desires to "undo" the effects of his Baptism. He wants a whole different kind of 'baptism'. (Hey -- maybe there's more that three kinds?)

Sedevacantists should have no problem, however, with the hope that this man would perhaps die with so-called bap-tism of desire and be saved, because of the supernatural grace of perfect charity, because he's a nice guy. Okay? Even after his having been subject willingly to this anti-Holy Ghost rite of satanism.

While the improper use of "their" in this sentence might seem like a typo, remember that satanists are obsessed with the possessive case, and furthermore be assured that this, what I'm saying, is not a pun.

In the letter, dated Aug. 4, the Memorial of St. John Vianney, the archbishop said he is concerned about “dark powers” that the performance of a black mass would invite into the community “and the spiritual danger that this poses to all who are involved in it, directly or indirectly.” Though the event is being promoted merely as “some sort of dark entertainment, this Satanic ritual is deadly serious,” he said. “It is a blasphemous and obscene inversion of the Catholic Mass. Using a consecrated Host obtained illicitly from a Catholic church and desecrating it in the vilest ways imaginable, the practitioners offer it in sacrifice to Satan.”

Correction: desecrating it in unimaginably vile ways is closer to the reality.

Beginning Aug. 6, the feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, and continuing through the Feast of the Archangels, Sept. 29, the conclusion of each Mass in the archdiocese will include the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel, which, prior to the liturgical reforms of the late 1960s, was recited after every Mass.

In fact, it was prior to the revolution of Vatican II that this prayer was said after every Low Mass, and also not mentioned here is the fact that all Resistance priests to this day continue to say the Leonine prayers, including this Prayer to St. Michael. To be fair, CMRI, SSPX and independent priests also continue to say them after Low Mass, however, some CMRI priests are starting to substitute other prayers such as one to St. Joseph for a "larger church" or to Our Lady, sovereign mistress of the holy angels (since their motto is Immaculate Queen of Heaven). Perhaps this conspicuous assault of the devil on America through Oklahoma, which is obviously close to Omaha, Nebraska, home of Bishop Pivarunas, the CMRI might make a few adjustments. We'll see.

If you have not begun the novena that Bishop Slattery called for, we still have two days left. It is not too late to pray with us that God might intercede in this.

I stated already that there will be tangible local consequences from this black mass being held at the Civic Center. Seems something has already occurred up north in Bartlesville.
