  • Sterling will lose under his contract, in the end it will be his own signature that is his worst enemy.

Sterling has 30 days to pay the fine or he is out under the terms he agreed to.

I agree that Sterling must sell the Clippers.

I do think though that the NBA never should have imposed that fine in light of the fact that it was a tape recorded personal conversation.

I also do not like the fact that people here and there have been stating that Sterling should have no say in who he sells his own team too. His contract says that the NBA must approve the ownership change, but Sterling should have the right to determine for who and what he wants to do business with.

  • I would just fold the team and void all the contracts. I doubt that is legally possible but it would be cool if it happened.    One less NBA team would be a positive thing.

Magic Johnson is no saint. We all know he lived a degenerate lifestyle and promotes that life style through his son.

I think there is more to this story than what we probably know. A guy like Sterling does not get taken down because of some recorded phone call.  He made similar remarks before but he was protected. My question would be what changed? Why is he no longer protected?

It is hard to feel bad for Sterling. He clearly is an arrogant man that uses his money to get what he wants.   Still this should make us all feel very worried. Being pro traditional marriage is considered bigoted by liberals. Who is to say if Catholics won't be persecuted in a similar matter down the line.

  • He's being made an example of - that's what the whole episode is all about.

Among other things, it shows even for people with his money and clout, they are absolutely powerless against the machine.

  • What a soap opera: A Jєω commisioner brings the hammer down on a Jєω owner, who'll have his case pleaded by Jєω lawyers.
"This principle is most certain: The non-Christian cannot in any way be Pope. The reason for this is that he cannot be head of what he is not a member. Now, he who is not a Christian is not a member of the Church, and a manifest heretic is not a Christian, as is clearly taught by St. Cyprian, St. Athanasius, St. Augustine, St. Jerome, and others. Therefore, the manifest heretic cannot be Pope." -- St. Robert Bellarmine
