I'm not sure if this is true or not -- at any rate, the part about driving to a public place being allowed is interesting.

We have loads of unmarked police cars in our area.  Personally, I think it's sneaky and entrapment.

I could just see if I tried to do what this woman did.  Our policemen are not known to be kind.  When I first moved here, one pulled me over and insisted that I didn't have my seatbelt on (I did).  I tried to tell him that I did.  I was never treated so bad in my life by a cop.  You would have thought I was a major criminal.

They haven't improved over the years and are more brutal than ever.  And this is what I consider a "small town."  Give me an NYPD any day.  At least I know who I'm dealing with.

 And I agree with RC1953, most would just pull over.

I'm even losing my edge.  Recently I ALMOST rolled my window down for some criminal in a parking lot because he ordered me to.  In my more robust days, he'd have had some crunched toes.

I know what you mean.  I've lost my punch too.  Life has a way of doing that to you sometimes.
