  • We may be up that way next month and would probably attend the chapel while in town.
Does anyone know if the priest there is on the "more solidly traditional side"?
And out of curiosity, is their school run by religious or is it run by lay teachers?

Thank you for your input. :)

  • I have assisted at St. Peregrine's in Westlake, OH in the past.  It's a small, humble, beautiful chapel.  I have gone only when visiting Ohio.

The school is in Richmond, OH so it's approximately a half hour drive south.

Perhaps someone else will have more information.

  • I live in the Cleveland area and sometimes attend St. Peregrine.

Sunday Mass -- 8:00 Low, 10:00 High.  Confessions about 30 minutes before each Mass.  I don't like the artwork in the church.  Chapel was founded by independent priest Father Sullivan, who left it to the SSPX after passing away.  10:00 High Mass features a very nice Gregorian chant schola.

    School is in Richfield, OH.

Weekday Mass schedule can be weird, so don't go by what's on the SSPX.org website or even on their street sign.  Very hard to get a hold of anyone either, as their phone number doesn't even have a message but an automated beep.  Sometimes they have a 6:00 PM Mass on Saturday, but I wouldn't count on it, then sometimes an 11:00 AM on Monday at the school in Richfield.  7:00 PM Mass usually on First Friday and 9:00 AM on First Saturday (instead of the usual 6:00 PM).

It's a very small chapel, basically a converted old house.

Father Thomas Scott is usually there; I haven't spoken to him regarding the recent SSPX developments.  I knew him back at the seminary.

Independent priest (SSPX-aligned) Father Leo Carley is in Akron if you're near there; I can tell you some info on him if you're near Akron.
