Does anyone have the text of the prophecy I believe St. Bridgett had regarding the future pope who will allow married priests, and how much that would anger God?

Lately I have been reading passages from Randy Engel's book Rite of Sodomy. Very depressing. Making me crazy. In the book, Engel makes it clear that this problem of homos in the priestood isn't someting that just propped up after Vatican II, it had been around for centuries. This lead me to the conclusion that maybe if ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity in the clergy has been such an ongoing battle and struggle for souls, than maybe the "church" (pre-vatican II 1958 as I am a sede) should have have allowed married men to become priests and squash this ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ subculture like a bug.

But then I think about this prophecy I once heard from St. Bridgett and it emphasized how God would be extremely mad with the "church" if it ever allowed this.

  • While the sins of Sodom have been around for ages, the extent of them practiced by clergy with impunity is something else entirely.

Among the reasons we cannot have married clergy is the fact that our priests are obliged to help save the souls of their flocks.  Family responsibilities, loyalties, concerns cripple this.

Randy Engel details the problem in history, but in the past it was smashed down and punished severely by civil authorities.

Since when has being married stopped people from being perverts?

If you read Randy Engel's book you will see that the 'Collective' would not be deterred by Protestant married clergy.

And then how could Catholics make certain the priests didn't marry feminists?

The whole idea of married priests is Protestant, plain and simple.

  • Married Eastern Rite Catholic priests might disagree that the idea of married priests is protestant.

  • I do not support married Latin rite priests.  I would just like people to remember that there are Catholic priests who are married, and that this fact does not make them some how Protestant.

  • So, was the Council of Florence wrong in allowing the Eastern Rites to maintain a married priesthood?  Do you really think that married Byzantine priests are some how less worth of the priesthood that Latin rite priests?  Is the Church wrong in allowing this?  Was the pope who approved this settlement with the Orthodox who returned to Catholic unity some how weak in his faith?  Perhaps he was a heretic, and the see have been vacant since the Council of Florence?

It would be really nice it the people who disliked the post above would actually try to answer these questions.
