    I remember almost 40 years ago when it was regularly over 100 degrees every day that particular summer. There was no air conditioner at my house. I went to visit a friend and it felt extremely cold, like you could hang meat. I asked them, "Aren't you going a little bit overboard with the air conditioning?"
    My friend's sister replied, "It's 78 degrees in here."

    May I suggest investing in a walk-in refrigerator? Would make preparing meals quite a bit more attractive! 
    Especially when you have to get out something from the freezer room in the back. 
    A lot of thought goes into meals: most of the extra thinking is done IN the refrigerator.
