Today Nov 18, A.D. 2017, Solanus Casey will be beatified; on his way to joining 2 other great saints of the last century, Padre St. Pio of Italy and Brother St. Andre of Canada.

The faithful have long known these men were saints yet it is still gratifying to see their cult publicized by Rome.

I watched for a whole minute, maybe two - - I turned it on and saw a big basket being carried toward the table that had maybe 6 or 8 boxes of Cheerios and Chex cereals, then I turned it off. Anyone know what the cereal thing was all about?

Probably a life-time supply of GMO cereal to the Capuchin soup kitchen by General Mills....

It was at least a 15 second plug. More cost effective than the Super Bowl ads, for sure.
